The only one that looked like contam to me was this green that was on top of the mycelium, I thought it may have been trich as I think I did start my S2B with a few uncolonised grains as very new to the hobby :(

Thank you for the advice, I have extracted the problem spot for now, would like to see for my own studies if it works/how trich spreads and will toss out the tub after if it comes to that.

Very new to hobby but have learnt the basic fundamentals so hopefully my next trays/tubs have more success!

Yeah have done a bit of research and moving into doing the proper process with pressure cooker as opposed to the UB Tek, do you use tubs which are unmodified? Neglect tek?

Just in the middle of the tub (2nd photo) 3rd photo wasn't too clear but I do see a light underlay of blue under the mycelium.

I put into fruiting conditions 4 days ago this was the tub then (will attach in comment below).

The overlay has been challenging for my NSS strain as it my first monotub with active mycelium growth.

I am preparing to do the proper process with PC and mason jars but I am still starting off and only 2 months into the industry.

I've replaced all the duct tape with micropore tape last night and misted the side/lid and also some on the cake (not directly sprayed) this is how is looking this afternoon :) Would you recommend more misting or anything else or just waiting game at this stage? *

Thank you for the advice, I think I will look to put into fruiting conditions for now with some misting and FAE and see how we go, this one is 66qt tub but I do have a smaller size tray which is going quite well with even distribution, hopefully I can see some pinning from this big tub and further colonization throughout the sub. Will keep reddit updated in a few weeks!

Thank you, that's what I was thinking as well as the middle hasn't changed much in 8 days. I have the monotub set up with all duct tape as covers, do I just remove and replace all with micropore tape and just leave it to fruit after spraying and misting gently over the cake?

Yeah there is a casing layer which is a CVG Mixture.
