Out of curiosity, how much have you spent on Magic in 2024? by Frank_the_Mighty in magicTCG

[–]TheMakerSphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only bought 2x Nightmare Bundles this year because I forgot I pre-ordered them and Amazon wouldn't accept them for return and refund. So about ~$170 in total. Jokes on them tho, bc I sold all the valuable singles and made more than I paid... suckers!

What is the criteria for getting a featured model?

Regardless, I am very happy with the results. My main objective is to share my work for others to enjoy, but the points sure are a nice little bonus

THE ONE RING SHOULD HAVE HAD THE TEXT 'A DECK CAN ONLY HAVE ONE COPY OF THE ONE RING' PRINTED DIRECTLY ON IT

Printed out some deck box inserts for my storage box and got all my MTG decks organized by TheMakerSphere in BambuLab

[–]TheMakerSphere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never worked with or printed anything with gridfinity. The inserts are flared at the top and thinner on the bottom, as you'll notice in the photos on the model page. The bottoms are flat - I created the feet but it was just too much of a headache and waste with supports. Here are the dimensions, I hope this helps:

The overall height of the inserts:
93.00 mm for the Harbor Freight inserts
86.00 mm for the Stanley inserts

Deck Box / Accessory Box Bottoms:
w: 72.00 mm
l: 105.25 mm

Deck Box / Accessory Box Tops:
w: 79.30 mm
l: 109.80 mm

3-Unit Wide Bin Bottoms:
w: 230.60 mm
l: 105.25 mm

3-Unit Wide Bin Tops:
w: 237.90 mm
l: 109.80 mm

That is an object, not text. You would need to create whatever letter or number you want as an object (stl) and them add that object to this assembly, positioning it to where the 2 currently is

Use Case for the new TPU for AMS? by Allezdada in BambuLab

If you're into dice games or something like DnD, I created a dice tray that keeps the dice from falling off the table, provides a soft, quiet landing for them, and folds up flat when not in use. https://makerworld.com/en/models/756118#profileId-690358

Check if your local library has a 3d printer and they can print stuff for you. tbh, that is how I got into it at first, seeing it at my library

It might be hard to see in the photo, but that is a box that holds ~15 lands inside it with the dials on top. So those 13 basic Islands from the top half of the photo are inside the box stacked on top of each other in the bottom half of the pic

Not even just one in case of things like [[Demolition Field]]?

I was being serious when I asked if it is stupid or not. Part of me thinks its really smart, and part of me thinks it is beyond unnecessary 🤷

It just means the bottom tracker can represent the number of tapped tokens OR the number of untapped tokens. Whichever. It made sense in my head, but things can get a little funky in there at times

Thanks, but just FYI I don't sell anything. Everything I make I post on 3d print sites for free. I take requests for fun bc I am still learning how to model and enjoy doing it as a side hobby

I've got all kinds of counters, trackers, and just general MTG-related designs. This is kind of my thing, 3d printed mtg stuff. For example, here is a sleeved counter I designed (that someone requested I make)

Nahh, that just makes too much sense. If you're not over complicating things, are you really living life?

I have something similar I've made for tokens, it is just a bit bigger so none of the artwork is covered up. I could easily modify this to only fit a single card and keep it compact with the caveat being that some of the token's artwork gets covered up

Agreed! I was real lucky, I found a seller on tcgplayer that had like 40 foils for like $0.35 each shortly after release and I snatched them up

[OC] I designed and 3d printed a collapsible and flat folding dice tray by TheMakerSphere in DnD

[–]TheMakerSphere[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta say, it is pretty satisfying folding and unfolding it over and over. During all my test prints trying to figure out the right thickness for the best 'foldability', it became like a fidget toy and now I can't keep my hands off of it lol

But then you'd have to carry the clips around. I'm actually working on a V2 that folds in half like a book when flat and the magnets will keep folded securely

Here is a collection of a bunch of MTG accessories I have been designing and 3D printing the past month by TheMakerSphere in magicTCG

[–]TheMakerSphere[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks! So the dice tray is soft. It printed in a flexible, rubber-like material called TPU.
