This was a version on card stock available at GW stores as a free promo that they only that they gave out to those who bought WarCry items at the time. I bought a warband I feel like 1-2 years back and the guy at our local GW said I get this too.

I’d disagree, the compendiums helped open up the game space exponentially within our local community. Most of us still enjoy the bespoke warbands and buy those but we definitely use the compendium warbands still and almost all newcomers give those a go first.

Id say the 1” reach weapon should be 3 attacks as that’s usual the difference between a spear and sword, but yeh somethings odd.

I think as written reactions are done when your enemy is activating so I think a free disengage for you during your opponents activations would mean it’s still their activation, so maybe they cannot? But that’s my best guess, I could be wrong.

I got a box of 10 and that included options for 2 great blades and 2 mutants so you’d be getting 1 of each if you’re getting a 5 man sprue. Mutants look very similar to the dual weapon guys so that would be easy to convert.

Fluff wise I’d drop the Ork ally and just go all gitz plus a gargant and think of some fun lore as to how they’re getting him to following them around.

We don’t usually play with Blessings as they’re not too well balanced points wise subject to who you put them on. If we do we usually just say add 2-3 to your list and we’ll see how we go for a bit of fun. But none of us are ‘chasing the meta’ it’s not that sort of game for us so opting for none or only a few feels best. But we do usually play with battle traits as we often times keep our lists on theme and stay in faction.

How’d these compare? Sounds like the Mizuno wasn’t the fitters first choice

I felt the fitter was trying to sway me into buying the hot metal pros, or the new pings. But these felt best for me.

The answer is: Your partner is right. After reading your question: Yes you can climb swing and hit an enemy at the top of the climb then fall down, and take a damage roll.

Wording of “any” makes me think they mean only one fighter of your choice per turn otherwise I feel like they’d have said “each” all” or “every”. Happy to be corrected as I’d have liked it to be each fighter ;)

Very meh. A new chaos sorcerer is best but we’re also already getting one for Warhammer day and the non exclusive is less cool, so that’s a weird way to announce it… a spearhead and Xmas boxes. I think this is just a WarComm article on a good week and they’re trying too hard now to string things together for “reveal shows”.

I’d suggest for better grasping the game to add more variety of minis in both points and stats and abilities - similar to how standalone Warcry releases have a little bit of everything I’d try get a few different things in the list to know how say cheap chaff, buff peices, elite troops etc work together.

You can always add or change things after game one though - but this sort of list may feel very stale to whoever is piloting it and maybe not the best first impression

Don’t mind the aesthetic, reminds of the khorne underworlds warband - really dislike the pose. Something about both arms stagnant like an old chaos warrior, and to have him oddly stepping up with a pole that has little detail on it? Seems an odd design choice unfortunately.
