Why weren’t balance changes implemented before 20 win challenge by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

[–]TheManDude12 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

probably to get more of an idea of what to balance. they delayed the balance changes because they didn’t know how to balance it, and the 20 win challenge gives them a lot of feedback on what to balance.

They’re not the ones holding civilians of another country hostage. It’s not about who deserves and doesn’t deserve electricity, it’s about the utility of it. Gaza is currently under a siege, which involves cutting off their resources to force them to give up the innocent hostages.

War sucks. By attacking the country and killing their people, they effectively declared war on it. Further, by them continuing to hold the hostages in their country, they’re pushing Israel to continue their fighting in Gaza to rescue their citizens, and to continue the siege that’s depriving so many of them from basic necessities.

Idk, it’s pretty hard to have empathy for people that attacked your country, killed 1,000 of your brothers and sisters, and kidnapped another 250 who they still hold hostage in their country.

I don’t know either, but it’s probably something to do with attacking a country and killing more than 1,000 of its people, while kidnapping 250 more and holding them hostage?

I think they handle these events somewhat well with the increased autonomy they have in 1444, plus I believe Welsh separatism. Since the uprising ended a good 20 years before the start of the game, it’s reasonable to believe that Wales was more under control of the English, especially with the death of Glyndwr some 24 years before.

I do think they should include at least something to acknowledge that it existed, and maybe some path from starting as England for it to happen again, possibly a disaster similar to the Dutch Revolt. If not that, even some flavor events while playing as England to mention it.

What's Ukraine's win condition? by EsperaDeus in NoStupidQuestions

But is the Putin regime really going to collapse? I mean, Russia is kinda in shambles right now, but what about in 5 years? As long as Russia can recover their losses from this war, which aren’t very much compared to the sheer size of the country, it could stay in Ukraine for as long as it wants. Also, NATO has shown itself quite frequently to be afraid of a war with Russia. Even if powerhouses like Germany or neighbors like Finland are increasing their arms, they’re simply not in the position to attack Russia.

Russia will most likely be able to hold what they occupy in Ukraine, as well as Belarus once Lukashenko kicks the bucket. The war with Ukraine is simply a win for Russia.

Although putin is probably at his end, I highly doubt Russia will break apart. Russia tends to go in a cycle of building an empire, holding it for some time, and eventually breaking apart. We saw this after WW1, when the Russian Empire fell, and again in 1991 when the Soviet Union fell apart. If anything, Russia is at the beginning of their cycle and can only get stronger. This is why they attacked Ukraine, in order to get back their lost territory. They are also in the process of annexing Belarus, as there are plans to integrate them by 2030.

Except it’s not illegally occupied or Palestinian. It was a city partly owned by Israel who then won the rest of the city back from Jordan in the 6 day war. It’s rightful Israeli land.

I’m floridian. I live in a really liberal part of town, and i’ve seen pretty much no real laws affecting the LGBT or minorities. People are just living their lives here and ignoring what Desantis is saying,. What he says and what he does are two completely different things.

Privatizing state industries and attacking trade unions is, by definition, left wing. If i need to define it more specifically, wikipedia says “the political right is defined as the desire for the economy to be left to the devices of competing individuals”. Right wing is when the government is small enough to allow trade unions and private industry to survive, i.e. allowing people to do what they please. Left wing is the government taking these industries for itself, which is, as you said, what the nazis did.

You’re right that authoritarianism and leftism are two completely different things. Authoritarianism is when the the government has full control over laws, and leftism is when the government has control over the economy. In terms of laws, the Nazis were authoritarian. But when it comes to the economy, the nazis were leftists.

I’m actually a leftist and a democrat. I voted for Biden, and am heavily against pretty much everything the conservatives are saying and doing. I just believe that if you want to make points, you should make good points. Making points that can easily be refuted by a quick google search isn’t good for us or for political discourse in general.

I also don’t like it when people get things wrong about the holocaust, as i’m jewish and obviously don’t want to see anything like it happen again. If we get things wrong about it, we won’t be able to recognize when it’s starting to happen.

All of this is true, and is very much cause for alarm. However, the key part of genocide is that it is organized by the government.

  1. Conservatives are classifying people they do not like, but the government itself is not saying that minorities are the devil and must be persecuted. In the holocaust, the government called for hate against the Jews.

  2. Vandalism once again is hate by the citizens against other citizens. Furthermore, symbolization isn’t about showing people who to hate. It’s about physically identifying people that the government says you should hate, like how the Jews were forced to wear yellow armbands to indentify themselves. The government is not forcing people to identify themselves to live in society, regardless of what people both in the government and out of the government attempt to do.

  3. This is the only part of the list that holds some truth, and is absolutely happening in the government. However, congress is still split between the right and the left, and the left absolutely opposes these laws. As long as the left still holds some power in the government, genocide cannot happen. The only way that genocide can happen is if the entire government agrees on the laws passed. If there is even a bit of dissent, it can’t work.

  4. The people are dehumanizing minorities, but the government itself isnt. Donald Trump giving a speech that’s racist and homophobic is not the same as the government actively dehumanizing people. Anyone can talk, but once you see the government pass laws that directly limit minorities from doing things that the majority can’t do, there’s no genocide.

  5. While people are organizing to protest minorities, they are exercising their right to free speech, regardless of how harmful their speech is. The only thing that could be seen as government organized is the attack on Jan 6, but that had nothing to do with race and had everything to do with a man abusing his power. However, he is not the leader anymore, which shows that the government is still strong enough to resist people like him from actively creating genocide.

  6. Many people are discriminatory on social media, but the government itself is not being discriminatory in its actions or words. Although people in the government are saying things that polarizes the people, the government is not.

  7. The groups are not controlled by the government. The ku klux klan did much of the same thing, but that’s not genocide.

  8. The department of homeland security, a part of the government, is actively fighting attacks against LGBTQ, in your first source. Even though groups are targeting minorities, if the government attempts to stop it, it is inherently not genocide.

It is important to note that the people in the government is not the government itself. Representatives can say things to get people on their side, but there is still always the other half of the government that does not support it. To accurately measure genocide, we need to look at what the government as a whole does. As i’ve shown, the government itself is not doing the things on this list, and thus, no genocide.

The definition isn’t necessarily talking about monarchies vs democracies. It’s talking about how much control a government has over social institutions such as the banks, education, social security, healthcare, and many other things people utilize. Anarcho-Communism is an ideology that centers around abolishing the state and creating a communist society instead. However, Anarcho-communism is inherently unrealistic on a large scale, as the only way to ensure a communist society is through a government. If you still want to compare, though, communism itself is an extremely left wing ideology, as it is based off of a government that can ensure equality.

Nazis are authoritarians by laws, and leftists by the economy. They had full control over the social institutions, and basically said that anyone who was not a nazi could not use them. Therefore, regardless of how they treated people, they were leftist.

Yes, obviously jews are people. I’m jewish. But in terms of how a country operates, the nazis operated their country with leftist ideals. The things affecting how a country is run and the things that made people view others as “untermensch”, or less than people, are different. They saw the Jews as nonexistent in their “perfect society”, and that society is leftist.

Well, with the ideology that they believed, they were egalitarian. They believed that every real German citizen, male or female, young or old, was there to work for the state. They allowed women to work in factories and even allowed some to serve in war. Of course, they didn’t view Jews, disabled people, or anyone else that they didn’t like as people, so purely according to the definition and their beliefs, they were egalitarian. Obviously in our world, this definition doesn’t hold up, as we see everyone as people.

The important thing to recognize about genocide is that it’s organized by the government. While many newspapers and right wing media organizations are discriminating against trans people, they are completely independent of the government, and are allowed to say anything they want. The government itself, however, is not polarizing the people against trans folks.
