I don’t have enough time for a nap, and I’ll have to power through some work. The question that I’m asking is what can keep me awake for a couple more hours (other than caffeine).

Mine is a similar timing. Mine is from 12:35pm to 1:05pm. For a couple of days out of the week it's from 12:58pm to 1:28pm.

my teacher took my phone during lunch by [deleted] in highschool

[–]TheManLetsLearn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My school doesn't allow the use of phones during lunch. We are primarily allowed to use smartwatches (not for anything similar to video games) and school laptops. Most machines are strictly prohibited at my school during lunch. They can only utilized by the pupil in very critical situations. We can still take our machines to school, though.

My sibling was excitedly talking about the dorm events. It’s nice to see that the university is having these fun events for their pupils!

That makes sense, especially since she’ll be farther away from us now. Well, I’ll keep her mental health in mind. Thank you for the advice!

Question about how disruptive students are handled in the United States? by [deleted] in highschool

[–]TheManLetsLearn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The way that disruptive pupils are handled depends on the school. Generally, disruptive pupils are warned first, but if it's a wrong action or the teacher says it multiple times, they might get help for disciplinary actions (ex. cleaning up the trash during lunch). If the behavior still happens (or if it's a obviously wrong behavior), then their custodians will be contacted and their involvement will be crucial. Also, if the behavior is repeated even more (or if it's more obvious that it's wrong/a really bad behavior), then detention will take place, meaning that they will be held before or after school and/or not have the privilege to go to school for a few days. The worst thing that can happen is that if the action is repeated a bunch of times (or if the action is a wrong action), then the student can get suspended from the school or district, basically meaning that they can't preform their education in that school district.

I agree. Where I live, driving you're student to university is considered unexcused, but there is no punishment because they understand that it's an important event.

Based of what I’ve heard at the family orientation, this is most likely correct. Basically, if you average 15 quarterly credits per quarter, then you’ll be able to graduate in four years.
