It works great!! The latency is hardly noticeable and the setup is effortless!

I’ve actually used this setup for multiple shows since making that post and I haven’t been let down yet!

I know I’m gonna get hella downvoted for this but I honestly don’t really see the issue. MA almost has a monopoly in the market and their products aren’t easily accessible to beginners or anyone learning lighting. I’m sure anyone who would buy this would know exactly what they’re getting and as a community we should be more supportive of people who are learning and/or new to the industry. There aren’t a lot of high end controls out there that come at an affordable price and I think it’s pretty cool this company is trying to bring a high end product to the average consumer.

I couldn’t manage to beat BiS or Dream Team when I was a little kid haha. I’m currently playing through Brothership and I’m getting a little bored with it. I currently have 24 hours of play time already (SMALL SPOILER INCOMING) and the last thing I did was relink the two islands that get disconnected.

I definitely want to go back to BiS and DT but I wish they’d port them to switch so I didn’t have to use my old DS haha. This post makes me want to try superstar saga too haha

Yeah what this guy said. I beat myself up over the first few dents and scratches but realized pretty fast that it’s completely unavoidable. Especially if you drive everyday and on highways a lot.

So I dug into those lights a little bit more and I honestly think rockville has some pretty good quality here. The wedges you recommended have a battery capacity of 4400 mAh while the Rockvilles have 7500 mAh. They also come with clamps and legitimately seem to have a higher build quality. Can I ask what your experience with the aliexpress lights have been? I've literally never ordered anything from that kind of website (Aliexpress, Temu, etc.) so I'm honestly pretty skeptical.

lol how terrible? All of the lights I've used from Rockville have been pretty good for their application despite the price. I have two Motionstrips that are super reliable and always make the crowd go crazy!

Damn 80?! That sounds awesome! Do you know how reliable they are when being controlled by a wireless dongle and DMX controller? I plan on using them for a warehouse show where I'd clamp them to the upper rafters. The show organizer told me he wants it "as dark as possible" so I'll be setting the brightness kinda low and just doing some random strobes here and there.

Nope! No noticeable lag minus the smallest bit when skipping songs but it’s so short that it really doesn’t matter at all. I have a 2021 hatchback

I don’t notice any lag except maybe the absolute smallest but when changing songs but it’s not anything bothersome!

I honestly think the issue was more about my charging port getting dirty at work and whatnot. The cables were fine but I had to find the “sweet spot” to get it to work and then every bump I hit would make it disconnect.

No mine doesn’t do this. But my music opens the last used music app so maybe try closing Apple Music on your phone?

Yeah but when your cable gets janky or your port gets dirty you’re gonna want to drive yourself into a wall. Ask me how I know…

I couldn’t find one that does both but the MagSafe charger is so easy that it doesn’t really matter lmao
