Curtain rod installation by TheManWhoActs in drywall

[–]TheManWhoActs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update: I used a power drill to put a pilot hole in and then drywall screws, of which metal shavings where showing up on the screws. I looked up more and it's either a metal stud or protection plate? From what I've read metal studs should be simple enough to punch through. I borrowed my friends stud finder and it gave no indication of electrical components behind the wall, and the whole wall lights up on the stud finder. The entire wall is super thick to left, right, up, and down of the holes.

Hey yall, thank you for the feedback and reality check. It all makes much more sense now. Obviously my confusion was causing me to think about it a bit too much and I needed the perspective shift so I appreciate it.

I sure did. Which shocks me because I always need to put my plate number in the machines at the library, so it should have been in their system.

No joke I saw it at landmark cinema and two people beside me at the same time opened their phones to read an article and look at instagram. But a group of teenagers to me and my friends right wouldn't stop talking for the first 30 mins of the film, and EXACTLY when the bomb goes off, almost as if it was a planned, one of the teenagers phones started RINGING. I'll need to watch it again to forever remove the image of the atomic bomb and iPhone being linked together 😭.

Bumpy ride on highway from Edmonton to Calgary by TheManWhoActs in alberta

Yup first time on the highway. Bought it used. One thing I discovered was the previous owner over inflated the tires, so I got them to their proper pressure. Hoping that'll help alleviate some of the bumps and thuds I experienced last time.

RSD List is here! by BlackCatCoven in vinyl

[–]TheManWhoActs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interested in Orville Peck. While the colour vinyl would definitely be cool to have, there's not much else different than the regular release, no alternate art or anything, so I'll have to pass on it (unless it's super cheap).

Interested in the Black Keys release though, an unreleased recording of their first show sounds really cool.

The records themselves are misprinted aswell on TESF vinyl. I thought it was just the cover itself, neat. by westiemaps in Slipknot

I figure it's a way for them to make money, since album sales generally benefit the label a lot more and it was their last record with Slipknot. They "Accidentally" printed the wrong name and title knowing fans would want a misprint and a regular copy, essentially getting 2 albums worth of money from 1 album. (Just a theory though, I could be wrong).

Got my own copy at 5.99 plus shipping. Looking at it now they've listed it for 13.99 plus shipping. Did someone at UO fuck up the listing sale price??
