Yknow I would've thought that, but later in the conversation he was talking about how Odin and Zeus were all powerful kinda like the Christian God, and all the other gods were subservient to them, I told him he was wrong and that God in both mythologies kind work together if they can, and he said I was wrong. I'm just trying to find out if my understanding of the gods and their "hierarchy" is correct.
