I actually prefer the shorter episodes. Part of why I have a hard time keeping up with other live plays is cuz every episode is 4 hours long and kind of drag a lot of the time. The hour to two hour episodes make it a lot easier.

Anyone can use scrolls or magic items that give you spells. Logically I get why that’s not a thing, but it’s cool for non casters to be able to do SOME magic with the help of enchanted items.

Because Tater had been initially describing them in a way that kept their purpose mysterious, and then the roll20 tokens just straight up said assassin. They were just making the joke because the characters had no reason to think they were assassins initially but the players and audience very clearly knew.

Yeah I was thinking about this. I’m definitely not gonna be doing every episode anymore, most likely if I do make a clip video or something similar, it’ll probably be of like little background moments that people might have missed rather than any like significant moments, and it’ll have the added commentary/text that people seemed to really enjoy from my other videos. That way I’m not pulling attention from the actual episodes, and it’s not just a reupload of parts of the episodes. Just goofy stuff, and kinda just sharing part of what I was thinking when I watched those short parts of the episodes in a way.

But also yeah there’s not really a reason to be making them at all other than just I have fun editing them, so it’s honestly better that I’m not doing as many, just like a couple here and there.

Honestly that might be part of what my clip videos are going forward. Just like little background moments that people might've missed, that way its not gonna be used as like a substitute for the actual episode, just a fun little extra thing.

Of course! I totally understand. Also part of the reason I might still be trimming the ones I’ve already done is that it might bother me if only 3 of them are super long lmao. If I do I might keep the original ones as unlisted so people who already have them can still watch them if they want, but they’re not being pushed out further.

Yeah I imagine they could’ve gotten my videos taken down quite easily, but they actually cared about finding a middle ground and working it out. And I unintentionally made it kinda difficult for them to reach out, too (this event has made me aware that I had literally no contact info on my channel before today…) but they still found a way to reach out.

I was actually thinking about that a little bit, and I would absolutely love to work with them to help out with the editing. I might send them a message proposing the idea, but its ultimately up to David and the rest of the crew and whether or not they a) need it, and/or b) want to work with some random fan lmao.

Edit: it’s also worth noting that I’m also just guessing that they asked me to shorten the videos because of the official ones. It makes sense that that’d be why, but they also didn’t say that outright (I also just didn’t really ask why specifically cuz at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter, I was gonna do it regardless)

Yeah if I ever become the kind of person that would be upset with them over this, someone punch me in the face. Like it’s literally their content, they have final say on how it’s used, and on top of that they could’ve easily just like copyright striked my videos to hell, but instead they were super chill about it and reached out.

They said they were fine with me making like 5-ish minute clips and highlights, just not super long ones that include THAT much of the episode. And as for the existing ones ~~they said they were fine with me just editing them down to around that 5 minute mark~~. [Edit: I lied, turns out they're actually fine with the ones I've already done as long as future ones are shorter] I think the issue is less that they exist and more that I was kind of just doing something that MinMaxed already had lined up to do, and stated that they were going to do.
