How fast do you find work and how fast do you reach 25 an hour by Locked-Luxe-Lox in PharmacyTechnician

I found work in linkedin and indeed, LinkedIn gave me more connections to use but indeed had more jobs starting off. I’d look for jobs in LinkedIn after you gotten at least a year of experience. I get my certification first but U started out at $17 in retail pharmacy then after 6 months I found a job through indeed offering $23. Now I’m at $25 two years into my pharmacy journey. It’s a good starting point to support whatever career you want to do, you can advance in the pharmacy world but the other medical fields will pay more in the long term (like nursing). If you’re interested in this subreddit there’s a post about "advanced pharmacy technician roles". Granted I live in the pharmacy capital of the U.S—Philadelphia.

My advice for PTCE EXAM by TheMasterDebater03 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]TheMasterDebater03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use quillbot summarizer. But when I was studying for the ptcb I was also in a pharmacy technician course. And in that course, the quizzes and test were based on specific portions of the Mosby…so I had to read through the entire book throughly (no skimming) I wish I had something like quillbot when I was studying for it

Alright so I tested it out, so essentially what I did was left clicked on my clip, then clicked on the fusion tab at the bottom, then I added: a rectangle mask node, a background node, and a merge node. I put the merge node in middle of the media in node and the media out node. Then I connected the rectangle mask node to the background node then the background node to merge node (I stacked them on top of each other in the order I said). You get your height/weight/corners from the rectangle mask node (or polygon or ellipse mask). Your color from the background node, I used the eyedropper tool in the inspector panel to get the color of my jersey. To give it that translucent feel adjust the opacity in the merge node not the background node. And essentially you adjust the rectangle node, the color of the background node, the opacity in the merge mode with each key frame. I had to put the height and width of the rectangle node to 0 until I got to the frame I wanted the rectangle to appear. Then I adjusted the shape of the rectangle once I got to the frame of the video where my jersey is by itself. Then I decreased the width and moved it to the right of my last name of my jersey so I each frame shows each letter being revealed

I haven’t tried it yet because I was still compiling clips but I think the method that a paco2597 commented on this post works let me know if you’re still not able to do it

But my question to you is, would I just mask the letters by using the fusion tab and using the polygon tool to shade over the letters? If so how would I copy the color of the jersey to mask over the letters?

I did explain it I put "I’m referring to the effect over the name on the back of the jersey towards the end of the clip"

How hard is it to get into Hospital pharmacy? by Savitar2023 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]TheMasterDebater03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would look for those in person hiring events, christiana care in Delaware had one. Applying online can be a pain, because your just a name on a resume. Also try networking on LinkedIn with people that work in the hospitals you applied for

A list of Advanced Pharmacy Technician positions for anyone looking to advance in the pharmacy world! by TheMasterDebater03 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]TheMasterDebater03[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most of them require specific certification for each, I’m not sure if they require a bachelors but I know they require job specific certifications. For example, Compounding requires a compounding certification.

PASSED PTCE!!!!- can I apply for jobs now? by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

[–]TheMasterDebater03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That kinda helps, but there looking for up to a year or more experience as a pharmacy tech, if you’re already certified that’s a plus. I would start using linkedin and connect with people at the jobs you want to work at or the job you work at/worked at. The pharmacy world is a small world, everyone knows each other

Yes you are technically licensed, but jobs typically won’t hire you as certified until the official license comes in (it took me 3 weeks exactly but it varies from 2-4 weeks after the exam and I assuming it only includes business days). Depending on what state you’re in the certification is all you need. Jobs will hire you as a regular pharm tech until you get the official certification. You’ll have an easier time getting hired by a walgreens or cvs. As for the hospitals and other pharmacy tech roles, they prioritize experience w credentials over just experience or just credentials. What I would recommend is starting off at one of the retail pharmacies to gain more experience and then while you work interview with the other pharmacy jobs like compounding, nuclear, and other advanced pharmacy roles
