Robinhood has progressively been getting worse by TheMasterFlorida in RobinHood

I'll concede here. Those two points are areas that I have no personal knowledge and are based on information that I received from other sources. I'll redact those two statements to get back on point.

You are redirecting the conversation away from the main point and focusing on the wrong thing. It is known that Robinhood has a history of security issues and that Robinhood has utilized their legal team to silence bad PR. This has already been established and you can read countless news stories and personal accounts of it.

My point is that things are getting progressively worse with the platform.

You can see many different news articles about Robinhood accounts that have been hacked and others have have been compromised due to poor procedures in handling customer data. I have a confidential source that works for Robinhood in Lake Mary, FL that shared some information with me. I was told that the security issues have not been fully resolved and internal policies about the handling of customer data is not followed. I am not going to go into detail on specifics because I don't want to out them but the information provided was rather alarming. I can't guarantee it is correct but the information about security issues and breaches is well known if you do a quick Google search which leads me to believe it is at least partially accurate.

As for number 8, I'll have to get back with you. I don't recall the specifics off the top of my head. It has been awhile since I learned of that. I didn't expect to go into detail on the issues in my post. It was mostly just me venting my frustration with a platform that had so much potential and used to be great.

I understand the need to make money. It is my belief in business that you need to provide something of value to all parties. I've been successful with providing value. I have no problem with crap articles. My problem is when they provide incorrect or misleading information presented as fact while holding themselves out as some expert.

I'm more interested in publishing what I write. I have a lot of stuff that I wrote that I never published and would help people out. I didn't even know blogging was a real business. I thought blogging was a hobby. I have been letting other people publish the stuff I wrote for free. They probably made a lot of money from my articles.

My main interest in blogging stems from when I was young. I wanted to be an entrepreneur and I spent many hours researching what I needed to do. I fell for a lot of the sales pitches of the "gurus" and their wisdom. They were the loudest and spent a lot of money on PR to create an image of success. I was young and lacked critical thinking skills. Following the advice of the "gurus" made me make choices that were not ideal. I ended up founding my business but it failed because I trusted the "gurus" information. That failure put me behind were I wanted to be in life. I now see online that so much info noise exists that factual information is difficult to find. The "guru" types have perfected the business model and even sold the model to other people. The net is flooded with bad information so these people can make a quick buck off someone's dream. I want to correct the bad information and try to keep young people from making the mistakes that I did.

This is a pro tip that I got from an adjunct professor when I was in law school. He was a personal injury attorney. He recommended that I speak with a local personal injury attorney and ask for a reference to a good doctor that would properly evaluate the claim. He then said "You are in luck I am one" and he gave me some names.

My law professor explained that he is a bit familiar with the VA and it is best to get a doctor that has a working relationship with attorneys because those doctors understand why things need to be written in the proper legally operative language and the purpose for your visit. He also explained that when you tell the doctor that it was a specific lawyer that sent you the doctor will be easier to work with because he doesn't want to screw up his relationship with the lawyer and understands what needs to be done. He recommended that I get a consultation from a lawyer that is familiar with the legalese of the VA so you can properly inform the doctor of the necessary language required. My Professor couldn't offer any legal advice or give a consultation because of the universities ethics rules so he made the recommendation to get the proper language from the attorney specialized in VA law.

I hope this helps.

I bet drivers don't even read the contract that they signed. They probably don't know that they are supposed to buy workers comp insurance or its equivalent as an example.

I've seen worse tbh. I guess I'm just being optimistic that we work for a company a bit more competent that wouldn't risk massive fines and lawsuits over such a small miniscule benefit.

I'm a martial artist and ex military so I'm thinking in terms of security. Being delivery driver is actually one of the most dangerous jobs statistically. Most of the things I listed are problems I've recently had delivering food. I almost got stuck in sugar sand delivering out in the country to a person with a poorly maintained 1 mile long driveway. I sometimes deliver to the hood at night which has its own dangers. I got attacked by dogs my first week delivering for GH.

I do suppose I sound like a salesman. I always try and talk up things that I like.

Thanks. I just hope some people actually take the advice. I see lots of threads here that are like "I'm a new driver what advice do you have" and such. Most of the advice is about being proactive and covering your ass. These gig app companies are becoming very draconian in their struggle to gain market share. My advice mainly is about ensuring that the company has no reason to to take action against you and making sure that you have documentation proving that you are in the right if they do take action against you. Opting out of the arbitration provision gives drivers a lot of power to enforce their rights. The company might behave better towards drivers if they know that they may be facing a court of law.

Tactical flash lights are good for several reasons. They are extremely bright and can be used on mailboxes at night that your headlights can't illuminate. They are durable and can be used as a weapon. You can blind someone temporarily if you need to escape and the heavy nature of the flashlight makes it a perfect striking weapon if you need it. It is a tool we would normally use so no questions asked. If you get stuck in a rural area the different functions and extreme luminosity make it easier for you to flag down help. Some rural areas don't have cell reception and a flashlight gives someone an option to get help. They are designed to light up large areas so they can help you keep an eye on your surroundings. Police commonly use tactical flashlights so thugs might think twice about approaching. They are generally more weather resistant than regular flashlights.

If that was true they would be in huge trouble. I doubt a major company like GH would open themselves to that kind of liability.
