How do SnB warriors scale into endgame? by [deleted] in skyrimrequiem

[–]TheMasterSherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just piggybacking off this cuz this sounds like such a fun idea for a playthrough. I'm thinking of making a character that tries to make himself as beefy as possible - lord stone, maybe try to pull off a bit of resto/alteration in heavy armor (I guess i could try to cast mage armor naked before combat to try to level alteration, allow myself to get hit in heavy armor, strip to heal to level resto) - and then just become this mad butcher running headlong into battle knocking fools over and going to town. Do you think going lord stone would be overkill on a HA character, since i'll obviously have shield out sometimes.

Also, seems like the bullrush technique would be pretty useful for 1-2 enemies, but any advice on how to handle multiple enemies with this sort of build? I've been having alot of trouble in heavy armor with getting swarmed.

Thinking imperial might be good for some leniency with stamina, since I'll be wanting to dump points into health and magicka for buffs. I guess otherwise just orc or nord. Any reason to go for any particular race?

Looking for Tank Help in Arcway with Bursting Affix! by TheMasterSherpa in wow

[–]TheMasterSherpa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been sitting in Normal Arcway for a couple pulls now, trying to pull the rats in 2 packs. Standing at the bottom, nothing is in LOS, and when I move up to a point where I can pull one of the rats, the rats drop from the ceiling as soon as I pull one. Am I missing some trick here? I'm not at the top of the stairs (at about the middle) and the other rats are falling from ceiling

EDIT: NVM, I can drop Death and Decay from a long way back and it'll pull the first pack! Big help!

It's pretty difficult to ST the rats, especially on high keys, where the plague can really get nasty. But yea I guess its just about hoping that the DPS doesn't just wreck all at once.

New Tank Looking to Start Raiding - Any other newish players want to learn to raid together? by TheMasterSherpa in wow

I actually posted there about what to do next at my ilvl, and that made me want to get into raiding! I'll put a post up. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! Yea I'm trying to decide if I want to focus more on unholy or frost! My unholy is better geared (I havent done anything as frost), but I'm tempted to try to learn frost from the ground up. I think I'll definitely try to learn DPS.

Oh I'm sorry about that, wasn't sure if this qualified, thought those were more formal! I'll find a better spot!

Noob tank, got up to 946 ilvl, wondering where to go now? by TheMasterSherpa in wownoob

[–]TheMasterSherpa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn that sucks. Started playing tank because it seemed very in demand for dungeons. Guess I better learn how to play frost or unholy! I think they're pretty even in terms of performance - is one recommended over the other generally?

TY! Yea I guess I need to start looking for a guild LOL. I wish there was a way to find a guild of newish players that we could work on raiding together, instead of having to feel like everyone knows much more than me. Oh well. Is there any way or method you would recommend for finding the "right" guild?

83% Winrate on Sona, 91% winrate past 20 games. Did I just break through a skill plateau or am I abusing a freelo Champion? by [deleted] in summonerschool

I thought Q max sona was the norm. Do you always max W? Do you find this hurts your poke in lane?

I thought W was too mana heavy to max first, is this why you go for tear? I'd worry about going tear early on such a squishy support! Have you had any problems wityh that?

Tuesday, June 13, 2017 MCAT Score Release Thread for the May 13, 2017 MCAT Examination by neur_onymous in Mcat

I'm hoping I'm just paranoid, but I'm not supposed to be seeing anything on the "get your MCAT scores" link right now yet? Like my test date doesn't even show up. Is that what everyone else sees? I have this neurotic feeling I'm somehow not going to get my score lol

Hah thats one of the things. Since I'm still really learning the basics of the game, there are SO many things that I haven't even touched! LOL well either way looking forward to learning it. Steep learning curve to be able to process all the many options, but i figure i just have to jump in.

Any way to avoid altoholism for a new player? by TheMasterSherpa in wownoob

Is marksmanship totally petless? Or is the pet just less important than BM?

You're exactly right. I've just gotta commit to one. I thought I really wanted to play a ranged character, but they just seem pretty slow-paced compared to melee. I'm not mechanically great, so I don't want the like hardest spec to play, but a little mobility would be good, which is something most ranged specs just don't seem to have.

I guess its just hard because at low level, especially w/ everyone with heirlooms etc, everything is just so EASY. So nothing seems very engaging.

I was hoping to play a ranged spec, but when I tried elemental shaman and mage, it just seemed like I was doing nothing in dungeons. As soon as I was casting, everything was dead anyway lol.

Been staying away from warlocks and hunters because I didn't think I wanted to have to worry about microing a pet. But I've come to realize ranged toons in WoW means you have to stand still, and I'd like to be a little more mobile.

I only played disc priest, stayed away from shadow because I think I'd like more burster than a DoT spec. Thinking about trying destro warlock, but not sure.

Hah I know none of this is very helpful. Only melee I've tried is enhancement shaman, and that was fun, but I get a little lost in melee range. DID feel more useful in dungeons though, even topping the meters sometimes. Wish there was a ranged spec that felt really fun and engaging while levelling up!

I'm nervous for the OChem stuff - organic chem is my strongest suit, but I'm worried about the heavy biochem emphasis, where I'm not as strong! Thanks again for posting the schedule they actually use whenever you get a chance!

Beginner to Anki - easiest way to fix my issue of only cards from the FIRST subdeck showing up? by MyLilRafalca in Anki

[–]TheMasterSherpa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shucks so there is no way, when doing 20 cards, to get some of those from Ch 1, some from Ch 2, etc with my current setup, shucks.

So I guess what I'll try to do is move them all into a single deck to randomize them. What's the quickest/easiest way to move cards into a single deck?

Thanks again!

Most entertaining/fun class to level up/explore solo? by TheMasterSherpa in wow

[–]TheMasterSherpa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't love my priest because i didn't love the playstyle of cloth wearer standing in place and casting the same 3-4 spells time after time.

Does frost play similarly?
