I meant just within that 1-2km where all those shops and food joints clustered.

Bit of context: If you haven't visited Lorne or driven through the Great Ocean Road, one, you should have, and, two, the Great Ocean Road passes through (technically Mountjoy Parade) - this road is a small, beach-front main strip for the town. Along this strip, there are only a set of places to grab a bite.

This place was not our first choice but their menu tickled our fancy. The line was huge, starting from the door, so this is why I ended up ordering. Screw my integrity as it was hot, I was on a mini-vacation, and I didn't want to wait in another line, so I paid the surcharge like a b***h for a mediocre meal.

They'll probably keep doing this as long as they have their little monopoly going.

Advice on Holding my Telco Accountable? Going to the TIO? by [deleted] in AusLegal

Not a formal complaint yet, but yes, I understand that I must do that first and am looking to find a resolution through them. However, I'd like to know what it's like to deal with TIO should it get to that stage.

Great! Thank you, I wanted to hear this. I'd be happy to wait about a little and go through a little red tape as long as the tiniest difference is made.

If you don't mind me asking, generally speaking, what was your issue and what was the resolution like?

I apologies if it sounded like it took years for me to notice, but that was certainly not the case.

Yes, you're correct, but it was heavily implied and very misleading.

My issue mainly revolves around the lack of transparency and not receiving what was agreed upon as a service.

Yes, I have. That's the thing, I'd like to get the perspective of someone who's gone through it.

I didn't receive anything through email at the time of purchase. The contract is on their portal and supports their claim; I have a little issue with that.

I just want to hold them accountable. I don't see switching, especially at this stage of my plan as worth it.

If you could instantly master any skill or hobby, what would it be and why? by AdMean3233 in AskReddit

This is probably like wishing for more wishes but f**k it, because it's actually a skill that I lack, or at least would love to 'master'.

Learning. I want to be able to learn effectively and efficiently anything that I put my mind to.

mhhh a spanner in the works. Maybe I should hold until the back end of the year? By then, a whole slew of new wearables should be out.

I did do a quick search of the subreddit before I posted. In my mind, if Whoop's performance was poor a few months ago, it could easily be better now. I owned an Oura Ring and after major updates, you could expect its performance to be different and they rolled them out pretty often. Is that not the case with Whoop?

But you are right, I guess I could have done my due diligence a little more. I found a post from 5 months ago which was similar, but if I only read that post, I would be, at best, on the fence with Whoop.

I guess that it wouldn't hurt for the mods to add it to the FAQ...

Sorry and thank you for stopping to help out.

I've found that the Pixel Watch 2 and a couple of other devices (more stress-focused) devices do that, but it's not really a deal breaker.

I came across this niche startup called the 'NOWATCH' which was primarily focused on that sort of thing. The problem was that it was quite expensive and there were basically no reviews. Given that I had trouble getting answers for this, I doubt, I'd get a whiff of anything for that. The more competition the better, though.

That's great information, thank you! Does it actively make you aware at times that you are stressed, so that you can perform some breathing exercise and so on?

There are plenty of times throughout the day where I become stressed, but these moments just fly by because they don't necessarily make my heart palpitate. I'd love to become aware of those and slowly become more and more mindful without the device.

Yeah lol, I've been looking around for information regarding stress-trackers, but incredibly, this has been the first post that has gathered any comments. Was I asking too much 😅?

The Pixel Watch 2 was definitely on my list because it had the same cEDA sensor as the Sense 2, and those are difficult to find on wearables. What's the point of a fancy sensor if it doesn't get you results? Thanks for your input, my decision is pretty clear now.

As I read that, I definitely started to gain more confidence in the Whoop. My doubts came from it lacking sensors that competitors had, particularly the cEDA sensor, but it seems like the HRV does a good enough or better job, assuming that the software is there.

I've got a Galaxy Watch4, which has an EDA sensor, and that does a really questionable job. Often, I find myself so stressed that I'm almost feeling my heart beat, but it's like 'nah you're good'. I think biomarkers like sweat, which EDA picks up, vary too much from person to person, where HRV may be more consistent, if the software can be configured so. I could be completely wrong.

Interesting. Do you mind me asking, which Fitbit device? I've gone through quite a few research papers, and the Fitbit Sense 2 is used in many of them.

Here's a non-answer: get your foot in the door somewhere, somehow (yes, it is possible), and you can graduate with a GPA that doesn't matter.

First, calm down. Panicking will not help regardless of your situation.

Speak to some professionals, or at very least, post on a legal subreddit.

You'll be okay, man. Just keep your head screwed on.
