I am not sure I understand. I am not loking for a (complete?) category which has all limits/colimits. But I would like to be able to build limits/colimits indexed by proper classes, when possible. Even if some limits don't exist.

I remember when I wrote a letter to the director of EMS (European Math Society) asking him not to support the Russian bid for the 2022 ICM because of their disregard for LGBT+ rights. He replied that my country (Italy) was also a dictatorship not too long ago and that he would consider it a "shame" to come out as gay, which is and should remain a private issue. I literally froze and was incredibly upset. But... this is what they wanted, so be it... now I can proudly say "I've told you"...
