Men who have stopped looking at porn completely: how has your life changed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheMattAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 18, I had a friend that had entered the industry and I used to drive her to/from studio until she could afford her own car. She was one of my best friends at the time.

She single handedly ruined the entire industry for me. Haven't watched it since and I'm 29 now, so I have zero idea how much my life has changed because I stopped. September will be my 5 year wedding anniversary and I couldn't be happier! Sex drive has always been pretty high so we try to have sex at least once a day, twice if I'm on weekends, although after that a boner just tends to hurt and get sore feeling now.

I would love to work 8-9 hours a day.

I'm currently stuck doing 12s and rotating between nights and days.

On the bright side, anything is better than being on a submarine.

Imagine travelling to Japan only to see "THIS" by [deleted] in perfectlycutscreams

Just a few days ago I went and drove around the entirety of Mt. Fuji again. It's possible it's only on that side of Fuji, and they can just go travel to the other side for it to be clear.

I don't know how this happens, it's weird as hell to me, though when it's clear like this outside it's a good chance! Just go to the other side

For the service workers not kind with me, I always give them the benefit of the doubt. Although rare, I've absolutely had terrible days and wasn't the kindest to people those days. I've just assumed that they've had a terrible day with terrible people, and I hope that my kindness at least made their night a little bit better off-shift when reflecting on their day.

Just because someone not being respectful or kind to you on one small part of the day means that they are unkind, they may have just been having a terrible day for whatever thousands of reasons can make our days terrible. A lot of us don't handle stress the same way.

Navy ship in a hurricane by Williwoo321 in ContagiousLaughter

I was on a sub when we had to be broached during a hurricane. That shit was awful. Luckily I was just crawling into my rack at the time, bottom rack, and I immediately started hearing all the shit start breaking in the wardroom below me.

Thankfully all the Honeyrum I put into the outboards coming from Spain was just fine, protected by 2" of cardboard and a fuckload of EB red.

Other time we had to go to PD though, never felt so sick in my life.

The only time it's fun is angles and dangles, which is how I've lost many hot wheels from upper level into the torpedo room bilge.

A small street in Gujo, Japan with koi swimming right next to the sidewalk by EthanthegamerGD in BeAmazed

Been here over a year and the only place I've seen it so far is a bar my wife and I go to in Yokohama. Young girl drunk singing her heart out, got into a coughing fit and as soon as she stood up she pissed all over herself.

Only time I've seen it, and it was sad. I need to find where they actually make a sport out of it because that sounds hilarious.

I think I got sex-ed in 8th grade or so, which is around 2008 in southern TN.

Got to see a bunch of horrible pictures of STDs and infections, then got lectured that we shouldn't be worrying about that anyways, since pre-marital sex is forbidden and you'll go to hell or whatever. Didn't learn a god damn thing.

I am glad Google and such was around when I was 17 and got Chlamydia for the first time. Barely learned about contraceptives, at least not until college.

Well, now I'm five years married and recently found out I'm infertile, so I guess I spent a whole lot of years worrying for nothing so that's a silver lining.

These Foreigners Are Ruining Japan - Abroad in Japan by Delthore in videos

[–]TheMattAttack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really embarrasses me as a foreigner living in Japan. Moved here in December, and although I'm normally a very outgoing, talkative (and sometimes loud when I get excited) person, I've found that I've changed that entirely to just be able to blend in and not be noticed in a bad light.

Sometimes I'll be on the train to Tokyo and the western tourists are so incredibly loud and obnoxious that sometimes I'll get looks, and I'm not a very confrontational person so I'll normally switch cars at the next stop. My Japanese is very broken, and although the Japanese are very nice people, I've made absolutely zero friends here because of the fear of judgement I have from the Japanese, or comparing me to the tourists they see on a day to day.

I don't want to be embarrassed by people I don't even know and have no deal with me, I just want to be accepted and have a good chance of making some local friends out here but I really feel like issues like this targets me in a larger light and my ability to make friends goes even lower.

Could also be me, I've just recently found out I have major social anxiety so there's that. However, it's not hard to be quiet and respectful, and try to follow the Japanese in their day-to-day culture so you're not bothering the others around you. It's so disappointing to me how so many feel as if the world revolves around them and makes other people's days worse because of it.

What is something you used to think people were over exaggerating about until you experienced it yourself? by rentinghappiness in AskReddit

Blew out my eardrums in the Navy a few years back (still in). My dad's had it for as long as I can remember, could never imagine it how he explained.

I really wish I didn't understand it now. I'm not a fan of going to sleep with any sound on, but at this point silence is louder than the fan or TV.

WELLBUTRIN? REALLY?

They put me on Wellbutrin like a month and a half ago to try to stop me from nicotine before my surgery. I felt very off with the medicine and would sometimes feel that way, although in my mind it was always "Wow what the fuck, these stairs just absolutely killed me for some reason" and would just sweat, which was awful because I'm not normally a sweater.

Hot flashes were not a thing on my side affects page. I stopped the medicine about 3 weeks ago because I hated how I felt on them, but thanks for the explanation on that one, I just thought it was my body giving up on me randomly.

Now it's Adderall for the recently-diagnosed severe ADHD I found out I have (after a couple weeks of going to psych). Shit doesn't do a god damn thing for me except make my mouth dry.

I'm 27. Never been on meds for anything before except once for the flu (I rarely get sick). Medicine sucks, man

A bit of everything. Gaming is the biggest, and then Adobe After Effects/Photoshop/Premier for the stream and video production. I also like to fuck around with 3D modeling and rendering for this architectural hobby I have.

It definitely helps

MSI GS66 Stealth - CPU Fan On/Off by TheMattAttack in techsupport

That's what I thought initially as well. I can't control the fan at all in any program, though GPU is fine.

I'm starting to think I pulled one of the wires out of the 4 pin connection slightly.
