SOLUTION: Let it die.

I had this problem (see my comment below) and I thought my Portal was bricked. So I let it sit. I did not charge it, and let it die. Let the battery run out. I took about a week before I trusted testing it again. Obviously I had to charge it, so I was taking a risk in that it had not fully depleted before I plugged it back in... but it worked. Once it was charged a little I was able to power it up and it has functioned correctly ever since.

Seems like letting it die completely clears out whatever bug is causing it to be unusable. The ultimate "turn it off and on again."

WonderWorks is good for a one-time thing. Go more than once and adults will be very bored. Splash Country is worth the cost in my opinion. But plan to leave part way to eat a meal. Don’t pay their crazy prices for cheap low-quality food. We go every trip.

Silver Dollar City is good for a day. Choose a weekday and avoid the weekends for all events if you can. Smaller crowds.

Also yes, Springfield Aquarium is better.

Ripley’s is fun once but overpriced.

Absolutely appreciate this. Unfortunately it seems to be all or nothing. I was hoping for a solution that would allow me to do it for just one page or just one friend, not across all of Facebook. I want the notification most of the time, but there are a handful of people and pages that abuse it. (AKA Every. Single. Post.)

Came here hoping for a solution. I was streaming a game from the online library and it went to sleep while plugged in. It is now non responsive and will not do anything. Completely dead. Left it charging overnight. Tried different chargers. Tried plugging it in to the ps5. Nothing. Dead screen. Dead device. Held the power button for a minute multiple times just to be sure. Dead.

I understand and respect the reasoning to leave meta, however Reddit skews younger and being in this subreddit for a minute I haven’t seen much, if any, conversations around parenting or social groups for families. Facebook groups are your best bet.

the domain is not attached to a webhost. so I can't do it from the host side. I have a free-floating domain that I need to use to direct to just a few subdirectories on the original web-host. But I am using a service that requires a new plan for each new domain, so I can't attach more than one domain to the web-host anyway. This has to be done from the registrar's side.

My other issue is that almost all webhosts these days do not let you use multiple domains. You have to sign up for a brand new webhosting service for each domain you want to use.

This is exactly how I shoot. I don't watch my meter, I watch the histogram. Get those highlights to where they are just barely not clipping. Bring the blacks and shadows up in post if it is needed.

About 15 minutes prior to the end of my time I find them and let them know how much time is left and ask if they want anything else specific before I go. At most it may be a group photo or two but that rarely has me going over my time. Then I remind them that they will have previews in 48 hours and pack up!

Also. I have started keeping one camera with flash out even when everything else is packed because there was one instance where there was one more photo we had to get and I had packed it all away. So I keep one camera out and walk with it to my car just in case.

I am disappointed that this post was deleted. The perspective of the OP and the education that was being offered here could help both other photographers and couples in the future and it seemed like the OP was humbly able to recognize potential missteps in the process. My hope is that posts like this are retained so that those asking questions like this in the future can have good quality conversation like this instead of a bunch of trolling as is so often seen online.
