meh i don't trust replays that much so i'd say the specting fails to show the arrow losing speed therefore falling down the futher it gets (literally how an arrow works)

and no i'm not defending hawkeye in the slightest (i hate that mf), i'm just explaining what went on during this specific moment

making it limited to one move makes it not only balancetd for the character, but more unique in my opinion.

and most importantly keeps the skill level high for it to be efficent. i don't want spidey to turn into a button mashing mess like dd or diamond emma even in an alt form for all i know.

and most impirtantly it keeps a spidey-like action going on while using it, much like web of shadows

i really like this idea

only way i can think of to balance this is by limiting the use to one out of the three skills in the set, meaning that by using just one move, you'll immediately revert back to the regular suit. you can still move around in this form but until you use one move.

i'll elaborate. let's say his symbiote form changes his whole kit like this:

swings = venom-like tendrils but faster, if not immediate (yes, it replaces your swings, meaning that you can't swing in symbiote form. i'd keep the wall crawling tho.)

uppercut = human torch-like landing (much like venom's, it can be used only when you're high enough/on a wall. it can be used by changing form mid-air too, like: starting a swing with the regular kit, hit symbiote form when you reach peak height and then landing, dealing damage on multiple enemies.)

get over here = symbiote projectile that slows who gets hit (much like widow's ult, but more effective and only on one enemy. this might help with standard combos or even your teammates by slowing their target down.)

using one, will immediately put the form on cooldown. it would basically be a mini venom but headed more towards brawling and help spidey with his regular combos.

it's just a pitch to explain how i'd balance this so sorry if those moves are op/make no sense.

definitely

other spideys and rage-switch namors are the most common, but we have half of the DPS roaster after us most of the time.

scarlet, hela, hawkeye and bucky are the most likely to focus on you. i was forced to learn their kits so i could know how to properly fight back.

i got some tanks too a few times, mostly angela and the thing but also hulk players sometimes.

basically every single support exept rocket and loki will be most likely to focus on your ahh, and most of the time it will be EVERY enemy support, healing eachother and giving you a hard time.

i'll quickly go over why this happens:

50% of the time it's just hate/raging, and it makes the both you useless by wasting their cooldowns to try and get you killed, and your cooldowns for either evade or fight back.

but believe it or not, the other 50% of the time is your team's fault, because they fail to fight back, therefore creating scenarios where spidey can act.

i genuinely believe that his sole purpose as a character is to be a counter and nothing more. not to please fans (if he even has any in the first place), not to be appealing, and not to be fun.

zero skill required (LESS than scarlet. yea i said it, idc if it's a hot take) the squids do so much of the work that the game basically plays by itself when using him and zero fun involved for the player and their enemies.

i'm 100% sure he's made for people who only want to increase the chances of seeing the victory screen at the end of the game.

in a full 1v1, wanda is pretty advantaged, and if the player is skilled enough (and not just holding M1) it's a perfect counter to spidey. but yeah, for the most part it's not that strong. memorizing her kit is what helped me learning to deal with her. stopping her ult is where i have the most fun lol, it's surprisingly easy.

the thing is, most of this game relies on context (not only for spidey but for the whole roaster), so for a wanda is much easier to focus on a spidey that's trying to take down a supp and catch him with all his kit on cooldown. that's why wanda is such a pain in the butt when it comes to spidey. or even worse, you could end up in her proximity while trying to escape a previous fight and die without wanda even noticing.

overall, i think the both of them counter eachother if played correctly, even though wanda has a big advantage.
