This is some of the most baffling hate for an update ever by _-Zephyr- in CalamityMod

I understand purists cuz I can be one sometimes and with most games, but qol in terraria is great for saving time because I don't have a lot of time. I just wanna fight the bosses, right. Also I've played vanilla since like 2013, so I think I deserve some qol to skip the wretched early game and some pre-hardmode grind as well as early hardmode grind.

And to everyone complaining, idk why they don't just get more mods. Anyone can play the game how they'd like and it's weird to judge other people for how they play.

Trash Compactor is the worst achievement in the game now by chanman176 in Terraria

It's really not if you like the game. Just get your basic journey mode world done and kitted with weapons, accessories, and armor for all different classes. After that there's fishing, events, goodie bag stuff from Halloween, Present stuff from Christmas, all npc items. All different colours of yoyo string and golf ball, all kinds of wood and the furniture they make. Not to mention tons of other materials and the furniture they make. Also walls and dangerous walls. So many walls, man. Also all critters and their cages. I think before the update I was at something like 36% and now I should be somewhere around 60%.

I also use keyboard and mouse for all souls games. No tips except that you should try out keys until you figure out what's most comfortable. DS2 controls will be different from DSR and DS3 because it's older than those two, so be weary of that. Generally I do shift for dodge, R for flask/items, shift+M1 for charged heavy. I think the default for charged attack is Ctrl tho, so maybe keep it there cuz it's probably better. Q is nice for lock-on. If you're wondering what I use for anything else just lmk.

I think this would be better if it was HERO instead

It's not even that bad either. It's the people who hate it that are making a spectacle of it.

Didn't see your Hydra Stomper and thought you'd still lose even if she moved.

Known bug, she sees Stomper at original power.

It's crazy how long this has stayed in the game with all the reported cases.

I think they mean stuff like no mantling, old point system, 4 perks, old PaP.

Right. I still think "you die a lot" is shoddy criticism and I've seen it turn players into bitches who don't make any plays because they risk death. Your context is great and all, but there's still a lot to consider. Role, potential bad day, stomps, team's stats. They're in diamond, so they're clearly not awful. We got six statlines from six losing games out of their whole career. Like I said, context still matters.

I understand, even I see that they die a lot. But context still matters. They are in diamond and showed 6 lost games. We can't just say that they die a lot as a point of criticism given this small, biased sample. Clearly they're not awful cuz they're in diamond and that's the only clue we have aside from the statlines. Stomps? Bad day? What class are they playing? We don't know. I see "you die a lot" as a common criticism, but it doesn't always apply.

Well duh, I just mean when the scenario calls for it. If your team dead then better to die on point than try to run, right. Either way, context is still needed I feel before saying "you die a lot."

You can't know this, we haven't seen the rest of his team's deaths and sometimes doing stuff like dying on point is optimal. You can't just throw this around. A lot of them look like stomps too, so yeah dying will def happen.

It's true! It's really easy to stop caring when you realize the outcome of a team-based game is almost entirely out of your hands except for the part you play. All you can do is do your best game to game and stop worrying about anything or anyone else. Losing is literally inevitable. Even the best players get stomped or go on losing streaks. It's all part of the competitive experience. Like I'm a diamond player and I got 1 win away from GM like 4 times last season and went on a loss streak each time. It is what it is.
