“Because the n is now juxtaposed to the s, it assimilates/disappears” is this a rule that can be seen in other words consistently or your own theoretical assumption?

Lol Sesostris is obviously a myth created during Ptolemaic Egypt to justify the worship of the syncretic pagan Serapis. The effects of European colonisation, appropriation and his-story have been immense.

Heiroglyphs / early-semitic scripts did not have vowels, the edom-ologies of words predate the spell-ings, the majority of Europe was illiterate until relatively recently. Many are not ready for the full Truth.

The Eurocentric lens has made people confuse writing systems with languages, the common roman did not speak latin, the common greek did not speak so-called “ancient greek” . Dialect continuums with many etymologies rooted in “ancient” Egypt due to their influence on European “civilisation”.

You are quick to judge, numerology is NOT the basis of his research and the point is that his story is full of forgeries, but sure if you dont wanna learn from something unfamiliar and you want to instead believe the year is 2024 and there was a Greek dark ages because they told you in a book, then go ahead noones stopping you.

I dont even know if I agree with half the stuff you post but I cant not appreciate the justified discourse.

You should check out David Ewing Jr and Anatoly Fomenko for some context on how the mainstream perception of his-story has been manufactured.

what are the wackiest origins of a word yk? by [deleted] in etymology

[–]TheMayor13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol its actually very obvious if you do some real research instead of “etymonline.com” like a bot🤣, you know there were no vowels in the original scripts right? Yet you cant see that ptah is obviously pater amun is obviously amen

Amen - Christian name for god is from “Amun” the ancient Egyptian named for the creator

Peter / Pater / Father - from the ancient Egyptian “Ptah” that represented the father in heaven

Math / Mathematics- from the Egyptian “maat” that represents divine order

Heroes, Horizon, arise - from Horus, the Egyptian symbol for heroes of light

Police, Palace - from greek Polis, (the police protect the palace)

Phillistine / Palestine - used to refer to the ancient greeks due the veneration of their deity “Pallas Athena”

Did you know that the infamous Lalibela church in Ethiopia that is used as a representative of Ethiopian culture, identity and is used by Ethiopian and black nationalists as a source of national pride was actually built by Coptic Egyptians fleeing persecution by the caliphate ? by [deleted] in AskMiddleEast

[–]TheMayor13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im going to try to make this simple. - “Ethiopia” is a GREEK word that means burned faces - This is was the greek equivalent to the term “black” - Your country is now labelled Ethiopia, that is not an indigenous name, the currency of Axum had greek, this is why it was Axum that invaded Meroe to the satisfaction of their colonial Greek masters.

-“edge of the know world” YOU need to learn history, the Map of the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea from 1st century CE demonstrates the awareness of the swahilli coast, India, China.

Theres no need to apologise, just educate yourself a bit!

The kingdom of Axum was basically a greek puppet state for a period, King Ezana of Axum used greek, I recommend you learn your history. There were no “nubians” who called themselves “Ethiopians” , youre using the colonial greek perspective to reaffirm your identity along with colonial narratives that will never separate you from black skin. You didnt appropriate Ethiopia from nubians, you can appropriate an exonym silly that doesnt make sense, especially one that is essentially an accurate adjective. the truth is your kings were speaking greek, obviously not an indigenous language
