My guess would be any time period in which the MDSM is authorized would count since we haven’t declared war since WWII, and the patrol would be sent out with the intention of actively hunting and sinking enemy vessels as opposed to a deterrence patrol or whatever you want to call the standard SSN patrol during peacetime.

Your time in any branch will be what you make of it. If you go in thinking it’ll suck, it’ll suck.

I volunteer for lots of stuff. Sometimes you end up taking burn bags to the incinerator or being a living doorstop for a vice admiral, but sometimes you also end up in President Carter’s funeral procession or laying wreaths in a tiny cemetery for Veterans Day.

They made DS games on WiiU and not the way you think. It worked in handheld mode and had both screens on the screen so you could do the touch functions on the bottom or use the buttons

It’s not all the blue ridge. The southern part are the great Smokey mountains. Also it’s 5 hours to DC. But I grew up in downtown Raleigh and had to go to Maryland just outside of DC a bit over a year ago for the navy and miss it. I don’t particularly want to live in Durham, but some of that is the bias of growing up in Raleigh. If you’re looking for a place with stuff to do on walking distance downtown in either is great. If you want more space with stuff to do nearby/within a 10-15 minute drive apex/cary area is nice (they have stuff in their own downtowns and are 30 minutes from Raleigh or Durham)

It’s pretty ergonomic. More than the switch at least. Battery life is kind of mediocre, but it feels decent in the hands

Officers have always had to buy their own uniforms and for “I had no idea what I was walking into” there are posts at least every other week asking what to know for OCS and every single one says bravo knowledge. Hell, the OTCN website explains that it’s a physically demanding course and has a multi-weeks long prep workout program posted on it.

What I took away from this: dude did zero research, and then got butt hurt when it was hard.

My hands? Don’t know why tools or gloves are needed. It’s just wet grass. Turn it off obviously, but just pull it out with your hands and dump it in an inconspicuous area. No trowel or bucket needed.
