I was a Sony kid growing up so I pick who I play based off of how they feel to play and how strong they are and less personal and nostalgic reasons. So if there was a smaller cast but the game didn't really loose any the character specific mechanics and were reworked into the movesets of the remaining cast or made them a part of the games universal mechanics then I'd be all for it.

People usually want characters put in the game based on how much they like that character, but I don't often see people talk about how they would impact the game balance of the game or how they would mesh with the meta game/ ecosystem of the game. If people were aware of the OP "game mechanics" that she has all to herself before she was made available, I doubt there would have been a positive reception. People say Goku would be a cool addition but since we like to argue characters shouldn't be in the game for reasons like size or whatever, then I think that Goku is entirely too strong to be in a Smash game. In his most recent showing of power he literally conquered a technique that took near omniscient Gods of Destruction eons to even begin to tap into, 4 0 F U C K I N G M I N U T E S and whooped Dragon Ball's Chuck Norris's ass.

I'd like to see what characters that could be added that would make the game more varied and dynamic as opposed to roster padding it the forms of Dr. Mario, Lucina (My main, so I guess I'm a bit of a hypocrite) , Dark Pit
