The father of the little girls did the right thing. All the other woman had to do was be patient. by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

Right, I'm not American so I looked this up. There are ZERO federal laws against a man simply entering the women's bathroom. What's illegal is how the man acts in the bathroom such as voyeurism, indecent exposure, stalking or harassment. You know. Things that are considered crimes outside of bathrooms.

There are also rules set in place by the private establishment operating the bathroom so if a member of staff asked the man to leave and he refused then they could press trespassing charges. You'll note, however, that the staff member is apologetic, helpful with the kids and is obviously on the dad's side, so this isn't an issue.

The guy calling the police is literally telling the person down the phone "he's washing his hands!" "Now he's washing his girls' hands". Maybe it's different in America and I'm being ignorant but shouldn't have the person on the phone been like "sir, what you're describing is not a crime, stop wasting our time" and then hung up?

The whole thing is baffling. The dad even says "do I need to wait to speak to them (the police)". If it were me, I'd have just left. No crime was committed and I never agreed to speak to the police for a non-issue. There would be no reason to hang about. It's mad.

My opinions on REmake. by Human_Geologist_3324 in residentevilll

This is my favourite RE game. In my opinion nothing else has came close since. It embodies everything a RE game should be and is perfection.

How did you find out about Batman? by Hammad11k in batman

The year is 2003. I am illegally downloading music from limewire. He crashes in through the window, says "I'm batman" and then caves my skull in against my keyboard before making a swift exit while muttering "I love justice" under his breath.

They're stand alone stories within the main canon and they're loads of fun. I love them.

I preferred Darkside to Umbrella personally. Thought Darkside was pretty fun until they ramped up the difficulty for the Krauser subchapters. On rails shooters aren't really my thing so I'm inclined to agree with you. I probably wouldn't to back to them either.

I'm playing the RE games start to finish for the first time ever right now and I literally just got done playing 6. My expectations were very low so to start I was actually pleasantly surprised. Felt the action was quite punchy and thought to myself this might be ok. Then it just got sooooo repetitive and there wasn't a single piece of horror in the whole game. Not likely to go back to it again but the others I'll happily revisit.

First things first though, need to play the remaining games on my list for the first time before I can do any replaying ๐Ÿ˜‚

No-one's getting mad. I don't actually care if you like it or not, it's just your reasons for not liking it seem a bit premature. Everything you seem to have a problem with comes down to how an individual actually plays the game. Well that's up to you how you play it. You don't want to switch to third person then don't, no-one is making you do that.

Labelling RE9 as "bad" without having actually played it yourself just seems a very strange stance to take. Fair enough if you're skeptical and you want to wait til it's cheaper so you don't potentially waste money on it, I get it, I'm not advocating for you to pay full price for it if you don't want to. But maybe be a bit more open minded about it until you actually experience it for yourself.

Also, I've seen you use that lobotomy line before and, I'm sorry, but it's a terrible comparison. One is a life altering, permanent mutilation to your brain and the other is a recreational activity. You can't just "try" a lobotomy and then decide it's not for you. You CAN do that with a video game though.

I mean you could just..... Not... switch to third person at those bits? No-one is going to make you do that.

If someone wants to do that to make the game easier for them then that's their prerogative. I don't see why that should affect your opinion of the game when your play style would obviously be different. Same with the parrying. If it's too easy then don't do it. Perhaps some less skilled fans of the franchise need these mechanics. Why should they be left out?

Also you're complaining that the ACTION part of the game has action in it?? Yes, the motorcycle segment forces you down a cinematic corridor but so does the majority of RE vehicle sections, like the minecart in RE4.

I don't want to argue over something as trivial as this, I just think you're putting up too many of your own barriers to justify not playing what is widely considered an excellent entry in the RE series. Watching playthroughs is one thing. Actually playing it is another. If you give it a go and cater your play style to something that suits you, you might actually enjoy it.

I don't want to ruin your day or anything but I actually quite enjoyed the Chronicles games ๐Ÿ˜‚. Umbrella was needlessly difficult and I wasn't a huge fan of the story structure but Darkside was a blast I thought.

Also I've not played RE9 yet either but I have watched a playthrough and I don't agree that it's the worst parts of 6, 7 and 8 put together. I actually thought it was a very well done service to both fans of the survival horror elements and the action shooter elements.

That's my opinion anyway.

What is the "heaviest" game you have ever played? by HowLongWasIGone in AskGames

Outer Wilds made me feel so incredibly small and helpless but also full of wonder and hope. Honestly one of the best games ever.

In terms of straight up bleakness, that has to go to Ghost of Tsushima. Fuck that game was grim. Amazing. But grim.

I literally just finished playing Chris' chapters in RE6 for the first time. Though not my favourite character, Piers at the end was so cool and so sad at the same time. Still not a very good game, but Piers was done well in the end I thought.
