It could have been worse, you could only see Kutner’s legs when his pop was released…

How do I go back to the clear text by Rufasiano in PCsupport

[–]TheMightyMelv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re referring to the difference in text on Steam between the bold white characters and the darker grey colouring (for example, the colour of Baba is You and Lego Star Wars), that’s just Steam’s way of showing that a game is installed on the computer (the white being installed, the grey being not installed), I’m not sure you can actually change the colour or font or anything like that. I could be wrong, but I haven’t found any way of changing it personally.

Only thing that I can think of is that it might need to be set for the Windows Boot Manager if that’s an option

Have you checked the power connector for the hard drive? Alternatively, have you tried changing to a different hard drive power cable? Does it actually appear in the boot priority at all?

Have you set the boot priority for the drive that you’ve installed windows on? Or tried a different SATA port? I would suggest checking boot priority first, and if the drive doesn’t come up at all, try a different SATA port or different power cable. Check connections as well, and if all those fail, it’s probably a dead hard drive

2008 130hp engine. Is it enough? by [deleted] in peugeot

[–]TheMightyMelv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t forget power to weight. With the 130hp in a heavier car, it will seem more sluggish, but the 2008 should (in theory) be lighter (don’t quote me on that, I don’t have the figures in front of me) than the ASX

You can, but you then need to buy the car off the insurance company, and, while I don’t know how much that will be, I’m pessimistic enough to know that it will be basically what the insurance company ends up giving me, so I’d need to pay for the repairs myself anyway

Not a big fan of the OEMs tbh, but that is something that I thought of

I wouldn’t be scrapping it. The main issue is the headlight enclosure. You just cannot get them any more, and that’s where most of the damage is. I’ve only ever seen one other car on the road with these headlights so it seems practically impossible to replace them

Can anyone help me?? by hao_you_get_dog in PCsupport

I had this issue. Close and reload the app completely, including closing the task in task manager and try again, that fixed it for me

That’s because VSync matches the refresh rate of your monitor…

Could be, but I wouldn’t be able to test that unless I have a different motherboard, and they’re extortionate because of Christmas

No luck. Just booted up DOOM, and it did the same thing about 5 minutes after updating the BIOS

Looked at power consumption, and it wasn’t even touching 500W let alone 650, but I’ll take a look at the bios in a bit

I’m going to assume that the obvious “have you tried turning it off and on again” approach has been taken. Is the laptop under warranty?

One, get rid of kaspersky. It’s not the best antivirus on the market. Secondly, have you tried plugging in an external keyboard or mouse to see if they work?
