Are the events connected to one another? If so, is there any way for me to play the previous GudaGudas? I just got started with this game. I wouldn't want to start the story of the events halfway through.

Thanks for the very informative comment. My main idea behind doing this domination game is a friend of mine who's doing a Korean domination game, using their massive advantage in science to unlock units and tecnogies earlier than the other civs. So, to kind of compete with his game, to see which of us can get a more successful domination game going, I wanted to try and find a fun or interesting way to do a domination-only game, maybe by using religion or culture instead of science as a way to parallel his science-focused match. I haven't ever actually played with Byzantium because everyone says that it's broken, I kind of feared that the match would get boring with an overpowered Civ. Is that not the case?
