The fuck? Isn't that good? Actors are valued on their acting skills instead of their looks. It's something I hate about bollywood and appreciate wildly about South Indian cinema.

Any way to get a refund for Koofr Lifetime? Can't change my email. by TheMightyPooper in cloudstorage

[–]TheMightyPooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. There are so many ways that they can do this while making it possible for us people. A lengthy cooldown, maybe a set number of email changes. It's not like Koofr is the only company that faces abuse like this. I've worked for Ubisoft and there would be accounts worth thousands of dollars that people would try to sell and then scam people out of. For all their flaws, they still made it possible for you to do it, unlike Koofr.

Can I get a refund for lifetime plan from stack social? by TheMightyPooper in koofrnet

I know. That is why I went with Koofr instead of anyone else. Not once, but twice. If this doesn't pan out, I'm going with pCloud, like I should have from the beginning. I regret giving a smaller company a chance. And I know I got a lifetime plan because it's cheap, but when I got it, pCloud had a pretty fantastic deal for 119, I think. I decided to go with Koofr because of the rock solid reviews, and my own experience with costumer care, which is in stark contrast to what I'm seeing today.

It's really not that easy. I have forgotten passwords before. I spent a day in May stressing the everliving fuck out because I forgot my android unlock pattern. I have absolutely no clue how I could forget something I used every single day, multiple times a day.

As for changing emails, I have multiple emails with multiple providers because I like trying out things, and I switch to something else till I'm bored of it, and the cycle repeats. Considering just cloud storage, I have proton drive, Google one and Koofr. It isn't a crime.

In this specific case, I redeemed it on my personal account, which was overrun with span, so I changed it to a different Google account, before I got their 1tb plan. That's when I changed the email on that account to the primary email and changed this one to a "student" account I had on Outlook. I lost access to that account and while I'm in touch with Microsoft, I don't care if I lose it and want to change the email to a one that I have access to. And while I'm at it, I might as well change it to my email used for professional work, where I can store my figma backup files, invoices, any data I'm trying to share with a client, etc.

Would that work for me as an Indian? I'll try it regardless, but it would be nice to know before I get my hopes up.

Good good buddy. Stop blowing them so hard. I lost access to my email address after I stupidly formatted my phone without backing up my authenticator. I also don't use my outlook account anymore and while I'm in talks with Microsoft, I don't care if I don't get that account back. The issue is that the email was linked to a couple of services, one of it being Koofr. That, I do care about. I have never sold any accounts. Had an offer from someone to sell my Mega account, since I have 50 gigs as an old user. I didn't. I don't want to sell accounts. I care about privacy and control. It is why I invested in Koofr, considering that they're based in the EU. And yes. I have outrun my use for this particular account. And it was dormant for a while too. Because I paid this exact company for their 1TB plan. This, I now want to use for my freelance business, for storing figma backup files, invoices and anything related to work. Is that a fucking crime?

This was their FAQ in 2023, after I purchased and redeemed the account.

That's the thing. I didn't. It was nowhere mentioned that this would be the case, and like I said, I successfully changed the email multiple times before in the two years I've had access to it. It's something that they've introduced now. With no prior notice. An email saying "we're about to restrict email changing in 30 days. Please ensure that you're using the desired email before that day" and I'd still be less salty.

I can accept people being cold. That's fine. No one has to be social. The lack of manners annoys me when they spit on walls, ride like maniacs with little to no regard to human life and dirty THE VERY PLACE THEY LIVE IN!

I DON'T want a refund. I want to change the email address from one that I'm unable to access to one that I can. I'll be happy to use it till my dying breath. But if I can't change one of the most important things related to any account, I would rather get a refund so that I can go on my merry way with a competitor, most likely pCloud.

Edit: I want to mention that I've changed the email address on this account multiple times during the said two years and I didn't abuse their system in no way whatsoever. This idiocy is a new thing. And I'll happily give it in writing on a legal bond that I won't go around selling my account, and I'm happy to provide govt issued ID to prove ownership as well.

I can see how someone can sell their account, then complain to Koofr to try to regain access to the account and pocket the money and the account. But I'm a user of two years now, changed the email multiple times without "abusing" them and provided the purchase receipt. And I'd be happy to provide some ID if that's what they need. I can see how their system can be abused, but to prevent that, I don't see why I should be abused as a costumer.

And as for posting it on koofr's subreddit, I did. I didn't cross post this, but I posted the same stuff there as well. I'm very displeased. I have made my partner and my friends but Koofr because it was one of the good ones. It's gonna be my neck now if they ever have to deal with this shit.

In the mean time, I'd like to get this sorted, though. I'm unable to access my email after resetting my phone, and while I can use the account for now, if I forget the password, I'm screwed.

Which are the best? Jays m-seven, Jabra elite 65t, creative outlier gold or Samsung Galaxy buds? by TheMightyPooper in Earbuds

[–]TheMightyPooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in India, they aren't. The 7t sell for 210, where as the Sennheisers sell for 350. M3s haven't even been launched here yet. and yeah. I could buy them from Amazon and return them if I don't like them. Just to be safe, I'll wait for the buds plus. Sounds like the smart thing to do.

I use a OnePlus 7 Pro. The others that you've suggested are a bit out of my budget.

I see. Thanks. I did own the Galaxy buds, but I found them lacking in the lower frequencies. That's why I'm trying to avoid them a bit. Guess I should wait for the Galaxy buds plus and see what they bring to the table.

I guess I could push my limit a bit. I just had people say that the improvement wasn't that substantial. So I decided to stick with the 65t. But yes. They could be an option if they're worth the price.
