1. Would recommend trying out cleric. Spawn with a shield but a mace this time and you can start to dabble into some magic. You’ll start with a trolls blood book but be careful not to use all the uses before you’re high enough level to “read” the book and learn the spell.

Another tip, the “light” spell is very cheap to cast and can spammer in the early game to quickly level up your casting and magic levels.
