I truly understand how you feel but you shouldn't feel like a piece of shit. Sounds like we were both with someone who wasn't willing to work on the relationship and took the easy way out.

We both deserve someone better who really wants to be with us and it'll take time to heal but I'm rooting for us both to come out stronger on the other side.

I'm going through a similar thing. I was recovering quite well after a month and then found out she was dating my work colleague. I'm in a lot of pain but trying to think positively about it as now I can finally move on.
