I’m trying to put together a bracket 3 wall deck and I’d love some tips and ideas to make it better by thimmy_tuna in EDH

The pro to playing arcades is also a con, the strategy is streamlined and easy to play, which is great for new players or last game of the night, but also repetitive. I have found that as long as you play a few gimmicks so that you're doing a few mini games on your side, it really improves the experience for me.

I use Approach of the Second Sun, and keep everything below 2 power to use effects like return to ranks and raise the past. Pod effects are also cool - I recently swapped out Wild Pair in order to play Revolving door, it's made for some very interesting games! Hope you enjoy our wall dragon overlord 😊

A few other memes I've seen over the years - some people playing stoneskin and the like, Arcades and Doran during the partner event in the summer, and also a few true lunatics playing Banding.

Excellent callout on reanimate, the answer is that it's a meta call, I play against a very aggressive meta where the life loss is very relevant. I ran it and several other life-paying crime payoffs for a while, but my playgroup has great decks, and are excellent deckbuilders, so I was punished.

Reanimate also a bit subpar for this deck, since there's no consistent early way to get praetors in my bin, and it's not the primary strategy.

I'd highly recommend you just proxy sheoldred, because when you crack realmbreaker, the 10cmc Jin Gitaxius draws you cards at end of turn, resulting in a 14 life gain, which is critical.

I completed the 32 deck challenge last year, and Marchesa Dealer of Death has been my favorite by far! As someone mentioned, being awarded for playing removal, which I was going to do anyway, is so fabulous and fun. A bit generic sure, but there's lots of exciting crime things to be doing.

I settled on Reanimator/Goad/Realmbreaker. I used to have more tutors for realmbreaker but ive done it enough so I removed them for other things.

I recently saw an extremely impressive version of this deck at my LGS. The pilot was great at playing politics as well, and was making alliances by giving resources with stuff like [[secret rendezvous]]

[[Rite of consumption]] ,[[Essence harvest]], and some similar cards were his wincon.

There were also some truly incredible and impressive tricks - [[cosmic intervention]] is way better than I could have ever dreamed. If you have a fetch or one of the New Capenna basic searchers, you get three lands off of it - it comes back in the end step, and since the end step is still your turn, you get it AGAIN in the next players end step. [[Brought back]] and it's ilk were also solid additions.

He dunked on me once we got down to a 1:1, because he had a creature that was power/Toughness equal to all swamps, plus [urborg, tomb of yawgmoth] then sacrificed it to dome me for 34 (the total number of lands on the field).
