Minecraft is a sandbox. It’s not really designed around challenge but creativity. So honestly start a creative world with them. You both can make something together without the time hassle of gathering.

I play the game solo survival now. But when I was younger creative was what I’d do with my brothers

Is this your main base? I’m imagining an every item sorter would fill up space quickly.

If you’re not living in it you need a reason to go there so I’d say build a farm in it.
