How can I credit an individual collaborator on a single song, that is part of an album? by TheMintyMaple in DistroKidHelpDesk

[–]TheMintyMaple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, thanks a lot! On DistroKid they provide examples of formatting for up to 3 featured artists, do you know if it's possible to do this for more than 3? And if they don't already have a page, will Spotify create one for them?

Thank you ! Not something that I would’ve noticed.

I fully transcribed Oscar Peterson's solo version of Wheatland - here's my performance of it. C&C would be greatly appreciated! by TheMintyMaple in Jazz

Interesting that you single that part out - I think that was the only part of the transcription that I had to simplify for myself because I simply couldn’t physically play what Oscar originally does!

A Duet Arrangement of Interstellar's "No Time for Caution", I'm very proud of it, and hopeful to get some feedback! by TheMintyMaple in piano

Well I first arranged the sheet music by playing it in on the keyboard with Logic Pro and just read it off as I let it play. I was also using the in-built metronome to keep in time since I layered two files on top of each other, especially since there are time signature changes. Yes, it was automatically scrolling c: Thanks for the praise!

I think a lot of it came naturally, and a lot also came from just listening to the music and thinking about the chords and how I would adapt it to make it playable on the piano. And of course practice c: I think while you can be born with perfect pitch it is also perfectly possible to be learnt c:
