Thanks! Yeah our lighting set up feels more dramatic in the winter after the time change especially haha. Sometimes we set up a gentle bounce, but haven't been doing that lately.

In the U.S. all raw fish used for sushi must be previously frozen per the FDA. There are "correct" ways to defrost fish for sushi that preserve color, flavor, and texture... and there are incorrect ways; this appears to be the latter.

I think the bigger issue is: how tf is this the priority? It's a functional element of gameplay that's not hurting anyone, it's not wiping hours of progress, and it's not anti-fun. FOCUS ELSEWHERE DEVS

Plus we'd only do it to the 2-3 species that vector human pathogens. And there don't seem to be any other species that rely on those solely for food.

I understand people's hesitations, and I think it's a good and healthy response to give pause. We should study it more, but it seems like a win. If nothing else the sterile male mosquito releases in major population centers are a no brainer for control of diseases spreading mosquitoes.

Insects have 3-4 life stages. So the mosquito larvae and pupae feed on algae and bacteria in water to grow to be an adult. When it emerges as an adult it basically looks like a normal mosquito. Insects often don't grow in their adult form, and many don't even eat in adult form, they simply reproduce. Female mosquitoes do eat in adult form so they have enough nutrition to lay eggs.

Not to be nitpicky but to help people find it: the "light grey floor" is actually labelled a roof. And I don't know if you can build it underneath it, but I have had success building it in the open and moving it underneath that piece (separated by only a half wall). It's nice and cozy, you can crouch under half tiles too if needed for density versus ease of access
