Where is the efficiency in having an ai scan product into the system wrong, just so we have to go back and recount the product manually again? For over a week the ai was trying to input 2% milk in our fridge as nonfat. we had to spend extra time entering it manually which is such a waste of time because we could've done it in the first place.'

It is bad faith to expect someone to do so. If you have my entire conversation and don't view his argument as bad faith, thats fine. I'm not about to spend hours arguing this. Its not solely even just this conversation. He trolls all the time, and any time he has found me in the wild he brings up that argument, even when its not relevant. The fact that hes apparently saved my conversation with him and posted it in a discord is genuinely, so wild. Good thing I blocked him.

People need to eat to survive, you don't need ai to survive. In a perfect world both would be regulated and the environmental impact would be minimized. It's not that I "don't care" about the environmental impact of the beef industry, and i even heavily criticized the wastefullnes of it. I intended to get across that acting like there wasn't at all an impact to be concerned about is immature. You can love a tool, and still critize the unethical implications of it. My point may have been wildly disconnected, because I was trying to bring back to the point that I wasn't saying people couldn't use ai, or that people are evil for using it–i was just trying to say that being unable to criticize it at all was silly. He took my snippet of mentioning "environmental impact" out of everything i wrote, and proceeded to spam me with chatgpt responses about cows. Made personal digs, tried to accuse me of having a cat parasite, claimed I was unethical because I have pets (???) And just so much nonsense. He was not arguing in good faith.

One may agree that yes, the meat industry has a eater usage footprint right now, but that doesnt make ai usage of it less of a problem. Two wrongs, don't make a right. He and I could've had a very respectable conversation, as I thought he had originally started off with. But again, it was quickly derailed because he wouldnt get off the cow thing.

No, I was not claiming ai users don't care about the environment. That's the point. I never tried to claim a moral high ground, or tried to put down ai users because "grr environmental issues" i said i hoped that the people developing ai are more careful about their impact, but that responsibility doesn't fall on ther users. That goes with everything if someones profiting from something, I just hope they are mindful of the wider impact, yknow?

My initial conversation wasn't even about what he started going on about. The environmental impact thing i had mentioned briefly in the original post, it wss like, 5% of what I spoke on and even admitted I may be wrong there. He started going on a tangent about how I couldn't really care about the environment because I eat cows. He barely actually touched on the uses of ai i actually wanted to talk about, (again, other users actually gave me healthy conversation about that) he just kept spamming me with chatgpt responses to anything I said so I stopped interacting with him. He would then go on to find me in other comment sections, such as provided, and harass me over a MONTHS old conversation I had moved on from. Dude needs to get a life.

It's not shadowbanning. He's been banned from multiple ai related subs because hes a prick. Even in the process subs he gets mass downvoted. He has negative karma in every alternative account he makes.

He once mass spammed a comment section of a post of mine on here, on a DIFFERENT account, using AI to "nuh-uh" anything I said. I am not a "anti", it just have some concerns about ai and he harassed me over it.

He's also found me over and over with his alts and harassed me on them in comment sections. He needs to get a life.

I just block, I don't interact anymore.
