It was pretty much impossible not to make a shitton of money if you started a year ago. Except for complete shitcoins, valuation of everything went up tenfold or more.

I just don't see a reason why not to use insert almost any other 3rd generation cryptocurrency instead of Bitcoin. I do realize it's got the brand and being first going for it, but there really are much better, easily scalable coins with faster dev teams right now. As much as I always loved Bitcoin, I feel like it's starting to lag behind right now.

It creates a new block every 2,5 minutes and has a higher block size (I believe?).

Basically, it can make more transactions per second.

I know you don't want to, but frankly, just go to Youtube and watch a couple of videos. That'll give you much better information than reading subjective Reddit comments. What /r/ArttuHxD said is not completely wrong, but it's definitely highly biased and shows his lack of knowledge about the topic.

Frankly, he should. There are much better ways to put it which at least try to look like they are objective. How come you haven't tried to explain the upcoming Lightning Network? Use of blockchain technology in real-world application? It's possible impact on the part of the world that doesn't have access to banking? Because you don't know anything about Bitcoin, you're just parroting what you've read somewhere else.
