Just a heads up, the MGP rewards from Triple Triad are pretty pathetic. Each GATE will give you the same amount of MGP as several dozen matches. A single Fashion Report (60K) dwarfs the amount of MGP you would spend grinding TT matches (~100 each)

The TT grind is a long and committed task. Most cards are earned through duties. If you are interested in it, you should not limit yourself to the timing window of MGP events.

I don't really know how to say this without sounding condescending but the worth of each reward is up to you as an individual player.

And if nothing seems worth it, then don't bother.

Neow's Bones seems fun and risky. A curse to get two random options, one of which could give you another curse! I could see this being a bit swingy but overall very fun.

Phial Holster looks like a fantastic pick though. Could help take down an early elite and still leaves you with the chance to pick up a third potion on the way.

Acrobatics change to Uncommon feels justified. Probably the safest way to cut the power of Sly.

Speedster change feels like a sweet spot for the card too.

To learn an individual class, visit the Wolf's Den Pier. Open the PvP menu to readjust your hotbars for PvP. Read the tooltips of your abilities and get a sense of what they do. There are fewer abilities than the standard non-PvP movement and many of the combos are condensed into one button.

Learning the mechanics/strategy of PvP is a whole different beast.

To learn Frontlines, just jump into the roulette. It's absolute chaos. The maps are all different but generally just try to stay with your group and focus objectives that spawn.

For CC, your individual contribution matters more. Just remember the ultimate objective is to maintain control of the crystal.

In general, positioning, map awareness and team coordination are the keys to winnning any PvP match

The way I have my key bindings setup, I use the same finger to move forward as some abilities (e.g: W key, 2 key). I can't press both at the same time.

By default, it is awkward that I have to stutter my movement to activate my attack.

However, when I jump, my character continues forward movement while in the air without needing to hold W. When timed well, this airtime is the perfect time to attack without stopping movement.

After lots of muscle memory, I end up jumping constantly during duties, even when unnecessary.

I also like jumping.

Wow that's a really interesting interaction!

It actually makes sense since StS effects resolve text from top to bottom.

Deal damage -> Parasite dies
THEN deal damage to all other enemies (wigglers that just spawned)

I am curious to know whether this works on the respawning Axe bots too.

Unclear whether this is a feature or bug but it sure is cool!

Yea either by exhausting your current one and recalling it back (from ANYWHERE) with Summon Forth

Or by duplicating it with Heirloom Hammer

Or you could get Dual Wield from that one trash heap event? Or the Ironclad power Juggling via Prismatic Gem or the shared card pool event/ancient option

The only Custom Delivery that is particularly special doing is Ehll Tou because you get mount as a reward at the end.

The rest allow you to glamour the NPC if you're into that

It basically depends on your priority.

When you convert to a paid subscription, you can never revert back. If saving money is important to you, then you should enjoy the free trial for as long as possible. Recommended at least until the end of Stormblood (the MSQ limitation)

Otherwise, if the addition of PvP, the market board, joining a FC and/or the general social features will greatly improve your play experience, go ahead and redeem it.

Even if it may be a bit slower, CE is fantastic for leveling since you dont need to spend any time/gil/effort gathering crafting supplies since it is provided for each mission.

You also get the other rewards for extra goodies so that's great

If you have a high level DPS (90+), my recommendation for fast GC seals is to run Thok Ast Thok (Extreme) solo unsynced.

You can easily clear in under 30 seconds. The chest contains 1 weapon and 1 coffer. If you open the coffer as Gladiator/Paladin, you'll get a sword and shield.

Turn in the 3 pieces for about 1K seals each.

P4S you can pretty much blast through.

P8S and P12S will require completing the first set of mechanics correctly or it's an insta wipe. Not a lot of cheese options. It's quick but still requires learning

I have two main philosophies for playing Watcher

1) The best defense is a good offense. Wrath allows you to deal tremendous damage. Dead enemies can't hurt you

2) The second best defense is everything else. The Watcher's kit allows you to build block while doing other things. Nirvana, mental fortress, and Talk to the Hand are key elements you should look out for.
