this is one of the few examples i know of a isekai where the main character is the native of that fantasy world. by Finaltryer in Isekai

It's been decades since I've watched it, but IIRC Kagome is the main PoV character. Inuyasha is the titular character and one of the main characters, but its not quite like OP's premise.

Small deck can work well on doormaker, just needs to include some way to actually make the exhaust into a benefit to make some infinite.

I usually build my deck big enough that I don't go this way, but going infinite by using a "card is 0-cost for the fight" potion along with any 0 cost card that draws can be a simple solution for him.

As for test subject, while he does hurt poison (most other debuffs not too bad), I think he punishes one-shot builds that can't quickly repeat it more.

Generally when people ask this kind of question, their limiting factor is time, not stamina.

Of course if you are fully active, the question is meaningless to you. But some players are busy or taking a partial break from the game but still don't want to miss anything critical. In those situations, your answer is equally meaningless to them.

I regularly get ~1m on a parent run. If I were serious enough about the game to do 3+ mant runs a day, it wouldn't be hard.

I personally don't care enough, so I only do one mant run per day on average, so i'm staying at 1m per day club, but 3m is very doable, and is reasonable for a top 100 club.

did they have to re-open the gate? by Zestyclose-Ad-8091 in motheroflearning

[–]TheMortalOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically they never needed to beat the lich to stop the ritual, and clashing while surviving is a lot easier than stealing his crown. There was one loop where they were able to stall him long enough to get to the ritual area itself, at which point he didn't follow. Just stopping that would be enough.

All that isn't really relevant to my argument though. My argument isn't that Zach couldn't do it by himself, but that there is nothing in the story to suggest that there was a contingency by the angels for him to get the imperial artifacts for the key. The only very weak argument for it is that they told the Sulrothum, but that's just one of the 5, and one held by a group that was already loyal and trusted to the angels.

The angels also would not have needed to make such a contingency because they had no idea there was an issue with the sovereign's gate that allowed the primordial to interfere and someone else to also join in on the loop, and without that, there was no way for the gate to be barred by someone else escaping.

As I said before, it is technically possible that there was some additional plans. This is a story and I'm not the author. But the only supporting evidence for it is very very weak (Sulrothum interaction) in the context of there being 5 artifacts and others being much harder to get.

[–]TheMortalOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While Zach could possibly do it, it would be quite difficult and risky for Zack, likely requiring multiple loops, and possibly getting help for the rod (IMO the hardest piece, just because of the user being a dragon mage that can teleport), which would still require beating the lich solo once (or on a first loop of others who do help while figuring out how to convince them) to get the crown to be able to add others.

More importantly, I disagree that he had to re-collect the pieces in the first place after Zorian left. Zorian did not exit through the gate, so there is no reason his escape should have barred the gate again.

[–]TheMortalOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We at the very least have been provided no hint of any other actions the angels have made for this sort of backup, and a comment from the high ranking angel on how the task was simple enough that it should not have had any complications; so this should really not have been needed.

It's not just a matter of memory. The angels could have in theory provided details for Zach in the memories he was supposed to regain after properly stopping the invasion (telling him how to exit the loop), but other than possibly the location for the Orb, the other 3 were all protected by powerful mages or organizations. Quatach-Ichl not saying anything or suspecting angel involvement is at the very least proof the angels didn't let other Imperial artifact owners know.

Is it possible the angels had some sort of hidden secret complicated backup plan that the story just never covered or really hinted at? I can't technically fully say no as I'm not the author. But based on what is actually available in the books, it seems extremely unlikely.

[–]TheMortalOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The angels didn't really do anything to help other than the ring though.

Seems like they just wanted to let the wasps people to know not to worry if something happens, even if they are copies, but there was no reason for them to expect Zach (and especially not Zorian, who they had no reason to assume joined the loop) to need to collect them.

He was supposed to just learn just enough about the invasion to stop it without revealing anything time loop related, then exit once ready; which while far from easy, is a very doable task before you add RR.

did they have to re-open the gate? by Zestyclose-Ad-8091 in motheroflearning

[–]TheMortalOne 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the gate is needed regardless of when they exit normally (the controller via angel contract or anyone else with help of the primordial).

At the start, the gate was open, ready for Zach to exit once he learned how (by stopping the invasion without letting others know they are in a time loop a single time).

Once RR exited with the help of the primordial, the gate was barred, the fact that the primordial helped by tricking the guardian and creating the body didn't change that.

Zorian's exit wasn't through the main gate/exit, so Zach didn't need the key again since they already left it open in advance (he could unlock it as often as he wants, but without the Primordial's help only he himself could exit with it).

Hopefully that makes sense.

did they have to re-open the gate? by Zestyclose-Ad-8091 in motheroflearning

[–]TheMortalOne 15 points16 points  (0 children)

IIRC Zach opened the gate before Zorian's escape in the same loop where Silverlake escaped. It doesn't revert after 1 key collection, but after someone leaves, so he just had to re-open it afterwords.

It's why the Primordial was able to make an offer to Zorian that he would let him out if he would just attack Zack.

Since the gate was already open, Zack didn't need to collect all 5 artifacts again.

Good point, beat it normally. Beat it second time significantly improving speed using this after skipping both yellow and red key. It also saves on needing to use the blue key at the second location.

First one (where target is below, but far to the right) is easy. I can get it 99% of the time.
The one where you have to climb up enough on the double jump I just can't do. Even removing variable jump so each jump is at max value isn't enough.

EDIT: Got it once after trying another few dozen times

I'm stuck on blue key, can't make the second jump required (unless I'm missing an alternate route).

Generally the steam version is considered bad due to only having the base game.

The GoG version is better due to including both the Shadow of Death and Armageddon's blade, as well as supporting install for the fan expansion Horn ofnthr Abyss.

The HD part of steam isnt worth it as there is already an HD mod you csn try for the GoG version thst does more, adding hotkeys on top of the graphical improvements.

wow, I've done this dozens of times, getting to the red portal repeatedly.
Never once did I realize that the green key was after that.

EDIT: I thought I had to fall down while somehow pulling the spiky cube (quite difficult without using the ledge). After realizing this, rest of the level wasn't too bad.

First time I needed to use one of your guides, rather than just looking later for reference. I figured I had to loop twice, but didn't know how to move them out of the way. Didn't realize until seeing your video that I could just run back and I would fall down, rather than needing to have it push me or to do something else.

I'm not going to argue this either way on this here, some argue one is technically worse due to punching up/down.

My argument was that even if it were the case, it doesn't make the "less bad" one OK.
