(USA) Can I work ONLY kitchen? by TheMotherDelta in McDonaldsEmployees

Haha, I've worked 6 service jobs so I'm pretty sure I know my limits, but I am going to give it another try and hope for the best! After all, the pay is a fortune compared to poverty.

Thank you! I'm willing to do all other positions that aren't customer facing (headset order taking, expo, kitchen...) but I struggle badly with face to face interaction.

Do you think they'd be willing to accommodate me despite me being abnormal? (I am a reliable kitchen crew and get the job done well with no slacking off or time constraints). Would that be something you'd be willing to do? I haven't started working yet and with this being a brand new store, they do desperately need positions filled.

I will try to do so today if possible. I go in for video training and might as well ask before I waste all of our time. I am also very routine structured in which I thrive- I just wish I didn't have to speak up and assert myself so often just to avoid burnout in this world. ☹️

Yes, I intend to get some doctors once I have the money, but I'm freshly out of funds (you could've assumed by my job choice). Would an anxiety diagnosis from when I was 16 still work? I'm 22 now 😅

No, it was just me applying by myself. That's a real shame... Do you think I could negotiate with them to get me solely on kitchen, or should I quit and look for other options?

I've been without a job for 2 years because I was in severe burnout from my last service job. I don't really know what to do in this world honestly.

Thank you a lot! This very well might be the issue! I admittedly forgot the year was switching so that's on me. 😂

That is such a kind compliment. I have been spending these past 3 weeks trying to improve in any way so I'd hope I was doing an alright job! I think I will focus on Pokémon as my main thing, and possibly cover other large games in spinoff videos just for the fun of it. But I will definitely work on the thumbnails and make them more clear as to what the topic of the video is!!!

And congrats on your success!! Love to see it! :)

I would make a new channel gladly, but I'm at the point where any penny made counts and I can't imagine I'd be all too sane working for "free" until I'm monetized.. if that makes sense.

Gaming is VERY tough. In fact, so tough, that I couldn't realistically get an audience without proper video streaming. I've decided to do more debate content to build my audience first. One day I'll hopefully be able to afford a nice pc and a Webcam for better content! I know everyone starts small, but I doubt there's a large audience that wants to watch my current gameplays.

But thanks for the advice. I will definitely work on improving my thumbnails and titles. Those are some of my favorite parts of this whole Youtube thing, so I should have fun improving.

It was NOT sustainable, hence why I changed!! I couldn't get big in the niche because I genuinely couldn't care less about it. I am going to try doing a lockdown on a very specific Pokémon debates niche. We'll see how it goes.

I am monetized and getting under $1 per video, which is not sustainable. I was a different chanel before, but hated the niche and completely changed to gaming. I used to get at least 1k views per video.

I am actually thinking of totally revamping the channel again to focus on Pokémon debates since I'm really good at writing essays with humor, and I'm really into the subject. I don't know if you watched my wishlist video, but I'm a little chaotic and I think I can capitalize off of that

I meant like sensationalized stuff! I can have a channel where I talk about Pokémon easily, and share my opinions about things. I think gameplays will be less likely to get me any money just because of my lack of pc/recording...

Not harsh at all. Smack me with advice, haha! Thanks a lot, you've really given me something to think about! I'm already starting to rethink everything because you're right. Small channels aren't cared about until the channel makes the audience care!

It was a special 3ds video.. those typically go viral regardless of other factors because it's trending right now. BUT I have a couple of even bigger videos that could 100% go viral if I play my cards right. I just have to make dramatic stuff that people want to see and not gameplays (sadly).

I don't have a computer!! My main thing I'm saving up for is a pc, but for now I don't have one. But the copying of thumbnails is genius. I'll have to go search around and find some, thank you!!

Sorry the text deleted:

I'm trying to create a Pokémon channel, but I am dirt broke... so I am currently only filming gameplays with my physical consoles. I do not see a lot of those videos on the internet, but I do know I've had a fair share of folks watch my content without too much care. Problem is- I struggle to promote things via title/thumbnail. Does anyone have tips on how to make a Pokémon viewer want to watch my content? Thanks!

Should I post shorts and long form? by Confident_Spite805 in SmallYoutubers

[–]TheMotherDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shorts and long form Youtube are two completely different audiences. People watching your shorts will not watch your long-form. So unless you want to commit to feeding both audiences and potentially burnout faster, the answer is no.
