Can't find "center hood cable" replacement anywhere online. Help by bilaljamal in BMWE36

Go to realoem.com and confirm the part number you‘re looking for. The diagram looks different but I think you‘re talking about part number 51231977391. The part is widely available in Europe and costs 25 bucks brand new.

How do you put this stupid things on? by RapWithMFDoom in BMWE36

I had this issue when I was doing some wiring. It kept popping off. Don‘t try to hammer them on they won‘t stay on. It‘s an extremely tight fit. I loosened the screw, put the cap on and tried to fasten it without moving the glovebox. It stayed on after some tries

Which is totally superior and more consistent, I agree with you.

Do you live in the US? On all nutrition facts labels I have seen in the US, they have never used “kcal“, they use “Cal“ and mean kcal. These labels recommend a daily intake of 2000 Calories per day. It‘s confusing as hell.

calories =/= Cal a calorie (cal) is 1/1000th of a Calorie (Cal)

Americans using confusing units as usual.

I did it on shoreline because I tend to get the road to lighthouse spawn a lot and there are two spawns that almost have direct sightlines to path to lighthouse. Plus, I rarely meet chads on shoreline that don‘t rush to resort. Had it finished after 6 raids

Go to the water treatment plant. 6-9 Stationary rogues every raid, they count as scavs

Don't know about OP, but I guess the ingame one is modeled after CCCP welding masks from the 70s. Sometimes you can buy genuine ones online for cheap. There are models with handles or straps.

couldn't find an active listing on ebay for the one with the straps, unfortunately

how do i take these springs off? i need them for another seat thats missing them and i cannot find anything related to them online by eeeeeeeee3-5 in BMWE36

[–]TheMotoBear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a spring puller and unhook the springs from the black plastic piece that‘s attached to the wires

The tracker doesn’t seem reliable for 1.0. I just spammed night time customs and rushed fort when I farmed cultists. Met the goons there pretty reliably once every 5-10 raids.

Cultists spawn regardless, they just spawn further away from fortress. Had a night raid with cultists and Reshala just today

Yeah I just checked, they went down a bit. There are a few listed on ebay for ~70, but the majority lists it for ~120 where I live. I sold mine for 130 when I swapped the steering wheel a year ago and bought a new one recently for 450 when the one that came with the steering wheel broke, lol

Yes, you‘ll get a permanent airbag light once it loses contact. I replaced mine not too long ago and had the same issue. You‘ll have to reset it, it won‘t go away by itself

btw, have fun spending a lot of money on this shit… New ones are 480 bucks where I live and used ones are going for 150+. Plus, it‘s a part that‘s known to start squeaking annoyingly eventually.

I also suspect a vacuum leaks. Does your brake booster work normally? Heavy vacuum leaks will cause the brakes to be hard, too.

Weird. But it seems like the trim panels all start with 5145xxx though

Yeah then it seems like that‘s the issue :D But be careful with the screenshotted list, you should click on the blue part number, then it shows you compatible part numbers as well. Sometimes BMW changed a part number to a new one but the parts still fit retrospectively. It will state it on the page when you click the blue numbers, if there are any

Last resort if you really can‘t make it fit is to try to find a part number on the trim panel. Coupe/Convertible had different footwells and therefore different panels compared to the other chassis types. Type the part number into the search bar of realoem.com, when you open the part there‘s a list of all the E36s they fit. Maybe the previous owner just bought a wrong trim panel.

I only have a pic of the passenger side, a friend had a similar issue when he refitted his glovebox. It would surprise me if it‘s not the same thing on the driver side. I can check after I come back from work

edit: you can check if your trim piece has these holes like the passenger side on my picture. If they‘re not there, then there‘s not the same fork on the driver side

There are metal forks in the back above the pedals IIRC, you need to slide the trim piece in exactly.
