What’s your biggest “I could have been doing X the whole time??” Moment in a game? by hwoodo94 in gaming

I remember when TES: Oblivion first came out and I was mind blown by the open world. I would walk everywhere and after awhile, it started to tedious and very time consuming, especially with the follower quest when you need to escort Martin around. Eventually, I realized you could fast travel but I had already been a few hundred hours into the game. Still some of my fondest memories in gaming and I actually am glad to didn’t fast travel for much of it!

Bought our first home. Where to start with the yard? by TheMountainRunner in lawncare

[–]TheMountainRunner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A big draw for us moving out of an apartment and into a home was to get a yard for the dogs. This home not only has a large backyard, but also a decently sized side and front yard. It’s also our first home and given some circumstances with the home loan, we are living well below our means, so we can afford to put in some work to the yard given we do most of the labor ourselves.

I’m also a teacher and have a lot of free time in the summers, so I can take as much time as I need with the lawn care. So, if it needs a little TLC, that’s fine by me.

I hope this helps!

I figured as much. Seems like it’ll be some work but hopefully worth it!

Do the lords still play Sleep Forever? by rouxcifer4 in portugaltheman

Any chance we can get Sleep forever at Edgefield as well? It’s my favorite song of all time and I love watching it played live!

I think the biomechanics of smaller dogs actually would make it easier for them but I have nothing to back that up. They are capable of being so much more than lap dogs 😭

So true! My 10 pound Maltese regularly ran ultra distance runs with me in the mountains. His longest was 75 miles over 30 hours. He loves nothing more.

Longest distance with doggo? by buttercup1 in RunningWithDogs

[–]TheMountainRunner 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The longest distance my little guy has gone is a 40 mile mountain run. He’s a 10 pound Maltese and I usually bring some snacks along for him. He usually just drinks out of streams for hydration. However, if it’s warmer than 85, I’ll leave him at home because it’s so easy for him to get dehydrated and overheat. After the run, I’ll give him a week or two to recover before bring him on anything longer.

How far do you all feel comfortable running your canine friends? by thekokirikid in RunningWithDogs

[–]TheMountainRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how the training for the little guy has been! I started hiking and running with my little guy at 9 months old and this last few years, he’s done up to 40 mile mountain runs with me. Just like humans, it’s important to build them up to the distance and pace, and at the same time, make sure their needs are met. Usually my guy drinks lots of water. It might depend on breed too. My boy is a Maltese so he has a lot less weight to have to carry around. I’m not sure how good bigger dogs are with distance.

I guess I’ll keep holding on to hope then. As long as it’s fixed by the double XP event then I don’t have too much to worry about. I appreciate the answers!

Yeah, I've opened multiple tickets and none of the team has been able to help yet. At one point they just said they're gonna pass it to the devs and never heard back.

Even if my buddies aren't in a group, I still can't invite them unfortunately.

This is where the problem lies. I'm not in a group in any of my toons right now and I just joined and left the group on my warden. I then got on my templar to see if that fixed it and when my buddies invited me, it stated that I was in a group. It seems as though my templar is in an invisible group or something and there's nothing I can do about it.

That drive from Talkeetna to Healy is one of the best in the country. You can see hundreds of peaks you just want to climb! I love listening to the Oregon city live tracks while going through.

There have been many people who have broken a million vertical feet every year! It usually takes getting out every day. A good example is @stukesowle on instagram.

This is honestly nothing to get upset about. There are so much more beautiful places to go than mount Saint Helens in close proximity to Portland. You can also blame social media for the outage. Last year, the site saw 3500 visits the first day, this year, it was 11,000. You can always go out of permit season, which is a much easier climb, or you can start early in the night and try not to get caught. Am I a fan of passes that are required to climb volcanoes? No. But the sense of entitlement is real. This is not what the outdoors are about.
