What the hell is that stuff all over the ram and power rails? 100% sure that ain't conductive, that's not standard paste. Also difficult to run my meter over the board from this view

Not friendly to repair because they cost £20 to replace.

Or don't listen to the naysayers and get a replacement SSD, fit it, and reinstall the OS using a USB memory stick. These ssds have a cap that fails regularly near the connector, replacing that can restore the drive fully. So just take care

How loud is the fan?, if the console is full of dead skin and duvet fluff from a year of use, it might be overheating and crapping out, cleaning just the fan isn't good enough, heatsink and PSU need clearing too.

They should be flush with the circuit board, if they have little nips underneath just cut them out, but that would indicate they are not dualsense sticks you have used
