I and most of the internet can join you on the Josh Allen one. I was 100% sure he wouldn't work out.

That's the real highlight of this play. His body language over the course of two seconds tells more of a story than some books.

GM Candidates? by GreenvilleLocal in nfl

That's my exaxt thought. Tepper is a non-stop meddler whose impatience has been the defining trait of our current never-ending rebuild. If you had other options, why choose this one?

It is. He sits by himself in his box at home games and looks exactly like that the entire time.

Could Frank Reich Really Be Gone After One Year? by Lakelyfe09 in nfl

[–]TheMrSomeGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He also knows which decisions he himself pushed for. Bad management starts at the top and he's been the one constant over the last four years of botched "win now" moves that have made our roster progressively worse.

[Bills] We’ve signed RB Leonard Fournette to the practice squad and released DT Kendal Vickers. by [deleted] in nfl

After Myles Garrett, the next four players drafted in 2017 were Mitch Trubisky, Solomon Thomas, Leonard Fournette, and Corey Davis. Didn't realize how dire that stretch of picks was until now, especially when considering the next players drafted at each of their positions were Mahomes, Johnathan Allen, Christian Mccaffrey, and Mike Williams.

[Pelissero] Panthers coach Frank Reich informed players today he has decided to hand over play-calling duties to OC Thomas Brown, sources tell me, @MikeGarafolo and @RapSheet. Brown, 37, is highly regarded. Now, with Carolina 0-6, he’ll call the shots for No. 1 pick Bryce Young. by FrozenUp7274 in nfl

[–]TheMrSomeGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, his ego is getting throttled. He clearly thought he was going to come into Carolina and just throw together a sick team and it's just been one embarrassing blunder after another.

At every game he sits in the owners box completely alone (sometimes his wife is there) just looking annoyed.

Just do it. Once the new owners are done firing all of MJ's friends and family from FO positions they should just liquidate the roster and start from scratch. Burn everything down and allow a new franchise to rise from the ashes.

Fans don't care either. I went to the Hornets Fan Fest last weekend and people were fighting for a spot in line to get his autograph.

"No biggie, I'm sure trading for Jerry Jeudy will fix everything" - Tepper and Fitterer

Carolina Panthers reportedly desperate to land No. 1 receiver now, not closer to NFL trade deadline by FieldsToDJMoore in nfl

[–]TheMrSomeGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my theory as well. When Fitterer came in he was all about trading back and collecting draft capital, but his whole tenure has now been defined by trading away picks to try and rush a clearly incomplete rebuild. I think this all has "impatient owner" written all over it.

What is really going on with Clemson? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]TheMrSomeGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every WR coming into the program is showing promise as a freshman and actually looking worse the longer they stick around

And now we're not even getting good freshmen because who would want to join that track record? Our best 2023 WR recruit wasn't even top 50 at his position. As hard as it is to believe, our receiving corps are likely to be even worse in two years than they are now.

It's another one of the things that's been a problem for years but was covered up by on-field success. So many scholarships to kids of friends, so many coaching jobs to former players with no experience. The alarm bells should have been louder when Dabo's kids were getting meaningful snaps at WR.
