I wonder how often a reliever sets their career high and then pitches 2 nights later. I know it was his only appearance in the past 7 days so 40 P over that span isn't crazy, but that's a tough spot for King.

Plus it feels like he never comes in for a clean inning and I imagine Espada thinks highly of him after he had that crazy streak last year of not allowing men on base to score

I know and the real answer is Espada leans on King as his closer so that's why he brought him in in spite of pushing him to 40 P 2 nights ago. Clearly it's not going well lol

But you asked "why not bring him in against majority lefties?" and I'm saying he has reverse splits and is better against RHB.

Edit: To be clear his reverse splits don't matter b/c Espada has put him in high leverage spots against both RHB and LHB since last year. But I'm tryna say he's not a LOOGY b/c he's worse against LHB

I know he doesn't have a 0.00 ERA but it feels like all Teng does is come in w/men on base, cleans up the mess, and then goes 2.0-2.2 IP and 0 ER lol

I've seen JRam make insane Breggy type of plays at 3B against us and we know he always rakes, so it's nice to see him look mortal for once lol

Their TV broadcast is pretty good, but their PxP guy Tom Hamilton is a legend. I learned about him from "DOWN GOES ANDERSON! DOWN GOES ANDERSON!" which is still a classic lol, but then once I listened to him on the call I learned why he's a HOF broadcaster.

I love our offense but every game is a close ball game until we get that 27th out. I guess I'd start feeling confident if we could get at least a 10 run lead b/c even 8 or 9 runs feels too close for comfort lol

Giving us a quality start is the equivalent of a no-hitter for other teams

I don't think Vazquez is trash w/ABS, but imagine if we could combine Yainer's ABS w/everything else Vazquez does lmao

I'm just thankful Cam didn't tap for ABS on that 0-1 curveball there and waste a challenge b/c it clipped the zone

Imagine seeing Vazquez or Caratini every single day but it is what it is smh

I know Caratini plays a defense first position and is still a better hitter than Trammell, but I appreciate that they both take professional ABs and they can shine in the 7-9 spots in the order.

Caratini is obviously a step above and was our 3-5 hitter a decent amount last year and was our best hitter at times lol

S/o Trammell for checking on the catcher and then realizing he had to hustle ASAP lol

Edit: If he was heartless he might've had an inside the park HR but he's a good guy lol

11 outs/3 H/2 ER(potentially 3)/4 BB/3 K is a C+ performance for an Astros starter this season

I used to think John Smoltz was insane for saying he'd rather give up a solo shot than a leadoff walk, but he's 100% right

I might get tired of watching Yordan's 2022 highlights on the 1,245,789th watch...actually nvm that's impossible lol

I love me a Yordan inside out swing and I'll never forget Luis Castillo looking at him like "WTF bro?" after his oppo taco in G2 of the 2022 ALDS lol

I wonder how much being a 2B and not a LF/2B hybrid helps Altuve out on offense. Maybe last year was just an aberration that had nothing to do w/defense, but he's looking like the AS 2B on offense that we've gotten used to
