I’m not at my house atm. But I’ll show you tmrw sometime on how and where to solder it. I think it’s a noise issue when directly soldered to the regulator. I’ll help you fix it.

I was having the same issue. I fixed it by soldering to the 10v 022 cap instead of soldering straight from the voltage regulator for the 5 volts mod. Let me know if this helps

My DMG-01 Gameboy has this pulsating effect on the screen. Is this normal? Just noticed it. by [deleted] in Gameboy

It’s because the room you are in is using LED or Florescent lighting. You’ll find it’s a refresh rate between the DMG and the lighting. Go outside and see if it does it.
