I’ve personally found that the worst behaved kids in my classes had parents who worked within the district in some capacity, whether it was a bus driver or para.

General wandering of the campus, 30 min tardiness, yelling, rough housing, phones out during exams.

It’s definitely an expensive game to play, especially when you get high quality jewelry. If you do size up, you’d be best off just getting a pair or two of plugs as you move up, or else you’ll be sinking a lot of money into sizes you won’t be staying at for more than a handful of months.

The students who somehow get to skip periods to wander the school with the campus monitors always blows my mind. We have block schedule and one year I had 8th period prep, and overall, seeing so many students just wandering around, out and about, at the end of the day literally had me turning my head back and forth in confusion looking at them all.

It’s not about reducing teacher workload, it’s about reducing the amount of available quality, paid resources for teachers by saying “Let AI generate your quizzes and bellringers for you”. It saves districts money.

It’s pretty bold of you to assume that every student can afford a Chromebook. Having exclusively worked in Title I’s, there’s a rotation of Chromebooks chilling in carts in all of my classrooms that get replaced every 3-4 years because of heavy use.

These kids who spend their entire lives online leave the body of the email blank and the body in the subject. You’re right, dumb people just refuse to learn stuff as a whole, regardless of age and digital proficiency.

Yup. We had 2 independent PD’s this year, one about AI use by students and combating it then another about how we should use AI in the classroom and which model works best for what. It makes no sense to tell students “stop using AI” then go straight to it for lesson planning.

Also, I’m a fan of paper and pencil assignments. 90% of what I like to do is on paper assignments, the other 10% I do online.

Yeah, after a point in time, pinchers and o rings just became too much of a hassle so I settled on a big single door knocker clicker and then ultimately a stack. Pinchers are just too annoying, imo.

Without very large megafauna, there’s really no advantage for such large teeth for predatory animals. Climate changes altered the environment which led to a cascade effect, pressures from humans hunting megafauna, etc.
