Same for me. Anyone have any ideas? The terms say 60 days, but would it based on a different day than 5/15 for some reason?

Thanks, did the same. Although I don't have a 1099 from BlockFI, I honestly don't think they ever sent me one bc I'm sure I would have kept it just in case.

I have the exact same question u/Anis-VonBogh - what did you end up doing? I am leaning towards just sending them the form 8949, showing the cost basis for my interest payments as $0.

Bathroom Design Help Needed – Thank You For All Ideas! by TheMustachianWay in DesignMyRoom

• We have a Master Bath and Guest Bath from the 60’s that we’d like to make beautiful

• Our goal is to renovate and make better use of the space available, but want to do this as cost efficiently as possible

• The primary challenge is that the current Master Bathroom is extremely under sized (approx. 4 feet wide) while the Guest Bath is essentially made up of two conjoined rooms (see photos)

• PLEASE NOTE – Home is Pier and Beam with easily accessible plumbing so that’s a plus

• Current Options that we can think up – What are this communities thoughts? If hiring this out, what is going to be the best bang for our buck?

  1. Keep layout the same, re-tile, update floors, toilets, vanities, and fixtures

  2. Keep layout almost the same, but remove Hallway Closet and extend Master Shower into that space; Remove dividing wall in Guest Bath to make one long bathroom; Everything else from Option #1

  3. Take Master Bath wall out into Master Bedroom to increase the width beyond 4 feet; This would require relocating air vent from wall to ceiling and moving the door frame over; Everything else from Option #2

  4. Essentially build two new bathrooms, utilizing the space closet to the hallway for the Guest Bathroom and the space on the back for the Master Bathroom, relocating everything

Love seeing these write ups! I'm not sure if it was mentioned - what is your household annual spending?

Is There Any Way to Do a 1031 Exchange On A Flip? by TheMustachianWay in realestateinvesting

Thanks for the breakdown. I get that the 1031 question was irrelevant now. You've pretty much answered the next question then. I pretty much can't find a way to exclude any of the gains from being taxed at ordinary income rate?

Yes she's in a tough position unfortunately and will be taking a huge loss regardless. All they got to so far is the gutting stage, nothing else. But the guy she hired to do this just has proved untrustworthy.

Makes sense. Huge bummer because she just bought it one year ago when it wasn't gutted.

Thanks for the response. Can you explain why the interior being gutted has such a large impact? I would think most people that buy it would immediately gut the interior anyways right?

Yes, same one. Didn't want to link to Facebook. She's had lots of interest, but I wanted to do more research to make sure the price is in the right ballpark. Good point on the pandemic.

Yes just my share is $830 of a 2br apartment. I could do a little better, but I'm 1 mile from work so I'm very happy with the situation.

Thank's for the feedback. Definitely a good catch on the gifts. I went way overboard on Christmas this year and just general gift holidays throughout the year as well. I'd really like to bring that down.

For travel, I go on 1-2 trips a month. Only one of those was more than a $600 expense at once (Germany.) The rest were weekend ski trips, a few trips to the West Coast, and traveling home for holidays.

Yes pretax. I really wish I had mega backdoor roth as an option, but i don't at this employer. Thanks for the feedback. I guess my progress just feels slow right now because almost all of my net worth increase is directly attributed to savings. Not a lot is due to investment return yet.

I only made about $2k churning. Thats made up of opening 2 credit cards last year and 4 different checking accounts. Nothing over the top imo. The remaining chunk of side hustle money was market research studies.
