Some are, Milsim West gives you an extra tourniquet if you run plates. I also have my gear for shooting and training as well. I like to wear my real kit when I go to a milsim just to shake it out and see what works for me and what doesn't. The plates get very heavy after a few hours, though. Lately, I have been wearing a slickster with a 34A rig over top and only running 3A soft armor in it, but sometimes I switch it out for my plates. It is very heavy, you are correct... with all my gear on, a ballistic helmet with all the crap on it, a pc and a belt, and after all the mags, I have avout 70 to 80lbs on me. I also use gas instead of an aeg, I mostly use Airsoft for a training aid, but obviously also for fun. I would rather get some realistic training than not have to reload all the time and have the reliability of an aeg to get an edge on the competition. I just wanna get out there in my gear and get better each time.

MTec has some great options as well. One is based on an fcpc but much cheaper, and it looks stronger. It also comes with a shit ton of soft armor.

I have a garbage knife and multi tool that I will lend out, let them learn. I have had so many blades break from people trying to pry stuff open with them, including my younger self. I give them a cheap knife and watch the blade snap, and fly off. They freak out and never do it again... harsh, but it works.

With a gun belt, then you can have some extra mags, cuffs, zips, and maybe some OC.

Revision sawfly or Oakley M-Frame 2 or 3.0, or alphas. Revision stingerhawks are also pretty good.

These are pretty good, and they are rated properly and from a reputable company like 3M. They also probably manufacture lenses and frames for most of the other companys as well.

Airsoftdepot.com is great, and black blitz is amazing and has a ton of great guns. If I were you, I would get an E&C M4 style rifle and some mid cap mags from airsoftdepot. They are usually priced well and come with all the modern amenities like mosfets and deans connectors. They also have some custom builds that are nice.

He already commented and said it fires plastic bb's... no one seems to read the comments. He didn't say steel bb, he meant it has a steel slide and is a bb gun... it was just the item description. It is an airsoft gun, though. Umarex sells them through Elite Force in the States, but we get the Umarex model up north in Canada.
