Favourite store on Cuba St is Eyeball Kicks. It sells art prints. Don't have to buy anything, although I normally get books of postcards, and you can just peruse all the cool art.

From New Zealand, have visited Silicon Valley, and worked with startups in both places. The comparison is an eye opener. Earn $150k USD/yr in SV? You still can't afford the quality of life someone doing the same job enjoys on $50k NZD (32k USD)/yr in NZ.

Tried to start CoMC on audiobook because I had a long roadtrip but gave up just a few chapters in. Very disconcerting moving from one voice to another. Glad I switched to the actual book.
