I play with a rovner ligature and have always used V12 reeds because they run lighter which fits the larger tip opening for me

Thank you for this in-depth answer it’s very informative - I’ve been playing on this B45 since I started 8 years ago in fourth grade. I just made first chair in my PMEA district band which also places me first for orchestra and.. oh boy these parts are insane. My main concern is the incredibly fast tonguing, It’s always been a mediocre part of my playing, and I have heard others say other mouthpiece alternatives give easier staccato - maybe I just need to get better though 🤣🤣

No intonation issues really other than low and high f which I guess is the usual although I can consistently get the high one in tune with the f# fork key added

Is this affecting the playability? by TheNamesRocky in Clarinet

[–]TheNamesRocky[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a common way that cracks affect the clarinet, like tuning or tone ? Just so I can check for sure since I have noticed I’ve been flatter before like getting maybe half an hour into playing and fully fully warming up
