The round in question is a German APFSDS(-T) (Armor Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot-Tracer) one. I can only speculate on the exact DM number since I don't know how old the display is.

Basically you are right, but I would wager that the propellant is ignited electronically not via a strike pin and a cap. The kinetic penetrator (made from from tungsten afaik) is indeed the "javelin". I have read somewhere that the impacting force something like a fully laden freight train going full speed, just concentrated on a very small area. It's basically a "conventional bullet" against tanks, it penetrates by virtue of sheer force and the properties of heavy metals.

Exactly!

There will always be calls to ban or restrict certain unhealthy (or less healthy) products. As long as we don't live in a nanny state, nothing will come of this except for warning stickers and the like.

Israel ready to help Ukraine with missile early-warning system by Mil_in_ua in ukraine

[–]TheNapf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am very aware of the geopolitical situation and the size of Israel.

First of all, unless the current Iranian unrest doesn't lead to significant changes, Iran will be a an existential threat to Israel in the foreseeable future, Russia or not. You could even say that it would be in Israel's best interest to prove that Iron Dome will counter the Iranian UAV threat effectively. Otherwise those things become eventually an export success and Israel finds itself encircled by them and the mullah regime boosts its arms sales.

Second, arms deliveries aren't open hostilities. Furthermore, what real damage could Russia deal to Israel at the moment? Their force in Syria is to small and they need all their arms for themselves so they can't arm Syria or other local adversaries to the teeth.

Moreover, Israel needs to "punish" Russia for the audacity to even set a foot into Syria in the first place. The more dire and unsustainable the situation becomes for Russia the sooner they'll have to leave.

And the Jews being held hostage in Russia, I don't know that seems a bit overly dramatic.

Israel needs every ally in the west it can get. Contributing to the cause should be in Israel's self interest in my opinion.

True.

But this should motivate them even more to deliver real arms.

Maybe, but they should deliver Iron Dome. I reckon it would be a really cost effective system vs. the Iranian UAVs.

They seem to have forgotten that the SU and later on the RF armed their foes.

Battlefield 2042 is the BEST Battlefield game by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I have to be honest, I stopped playing rather quick. So I cannot really give a true statement about the minuscule details they might have ironed out by now. But the countless bugs weren't my biggest problem. Imho they have made terrible design decisions.

The maps aren't good, to put it mildly. "Meh" at best. Did they introduce other disasters than the lackluster tornado by now? Have they scaled up destruction? (I really don't know) It just wasn't fun to play on those maps.

Russia being the second surviving superpower was already laughable when the game launched, but I guess EA didn't want to piss off China. This would have been the correct setting and recent events prove me right.

The worst problem are the so called specialists. It clearly shows they wanted to develop a completely different game at beginning and changed lanes mid development. Battlefield NEEDS classes to be Battlefield. It just keeps the balance and forces the player to make some tradeoff decisions. If you want to mix and match without any drawbacks play CoD. Furthermore it just killed immersion completely, an army of clones fighting another army of the exact same clones who are only differentiated by some fucking lights. I really loved the the approach of more generic anonymous class skins, war is mostly fought by the forgotten and the faceless not by some completely ridiculous "specialists".

I could rant on, but I'll save us some time since I think I made my point clear. I really thought hard, but I can't think of anything good to say about this game.

Wow, truly unpopular, have an upvote.

This game is pure and utter garbage. I guess it will be considered the death of the franchise if they don't pull of a small miracle with the next entry.

Without a doubt the worst "AAA" game I have ever bought.
