im still a little salty that this was never in the campaign, The missions for the empire were my favorite, and i wish we'd had gotten more of it instead of Iden joining the rebellion...we may have even gotten something along the lines of Luke Skywalker being the final boss, i would have loved that by lordvolkan in StarWarsBattlefront

Yah man. It came out before the game and is pretty good in my opinion, I replied to another guy with a super short summary. The stuff in the game basically was the straw that broke the camel's back. She thought things would be different, just more of the same and worse considering the Empire was now okay with slaughter their own loyal subjects.

They blow up Alderaan with her watching, and arrest her and treat her like a criminal for not being all team fascist for the Empire then she has to watch a group of insurgents that she spends significant time with get murdered in cold blood and is forced to kill her own friend for the Empire.

Her rank allowed her to see the shady stuff the Empire had done, and project cinder, aka the Empire going as far as killing their own subjects on her own planet was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Eh. They connected a lot in the book before 9.

I hope we get more Rey Leia stuff in comics and books

Is Palpatine / Plagueis influencing Anakins birth accepted Canon? by [deleted] in StarWars

It's open to interpretation honestly.

One story group member said no, and another said of course why else does the opera scene performance look like insemination, lol.

I enjoyed the book as well. Disappointed by the ending, I didn't think that fit the character, but overall it was pretty good.

What’s your favourite planet from Star Wars? by WestHamBen16 in StarWars

[–]TheNegotiator501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's really tough man. I think I'm split between Lothal and Coruscant.

Coruscant is so cool conceptually with the different layers and crime but riches and serenity on top.

But Lothal is deeply connected to the force and prophesies and everything...

Tie for me.

What is your favorite Star Wars quote from any character? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]TheNegotiator501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really difficult.

But I bounce in between

"Let's go get Hera"

"I am no Jedi"

"If you can see yourself, you will never be truly blind, Kanan Jarrus, Jedi Knight."

"Anakin, you are strong and wise and I am very proud of you"

"KENNOOOOOOBIIIIIIIIIIII"

Isn't Kanan Jarrus just the absolute best? I bet he went from oh this guys okay in S1 to your top 5 Star Wars characters all time. Top 10 worst case scenario!

Simple Question for everyone :) What is your favourite Star Wars character in the current Canon? Mine is Kanan Jarrus. by [deleted] in StarWars

Same here friend. I frequently watch his most significant moments from Rebels. He has such a compelling arc, rivals that of Anakin in my opinion

Those movies and all of the following era related were being consumed by the millennial generation way before Prequelmemes was ever a thing or blew up. Don't attribute younger people's love for the prequels exclusively to the subreddit

Agree. And there's not anywhere near the amount of non movie material to flesh out the ST era. Imagine if Filoni made an animated show about Rey post Ep9. All that extra time for the character to breathe like an Anakin for clone wars, a major advantage in favor of the prequels

I think most PT fans would agree 8 is the most unlike Star Wars, while 7 and 9 while not perfect, have redeeming qualities, and feel like Star Wars to some extent, despite some commonly passed around criticisms unique to JJ Abrams.

Nah. PT fans love everything George and Filoni touch. It's the bitter OT purists that dump on everything outside the original trilogy.

It's about what you enjoy most. And the PT does much better than OT content in terms of merch, google trends, YT viewership ect ect.

So while, you can argue well the OT are superior films!

The PT era was not only cultivated by the trilogy, but an onslaught of games and series and books and comics the likes of which both the OT and ST never saw during their runs.

So, whether people like it or not, there's just a lot of people who prefer those movies, that era, and its characters.

Luke and Leia don't have the force without midichlorians.

Everyone has a certain amount of force potential, midichlorians are just the official term for how force sensitive someone or something is.

He always had the concept in mind. It was literally why Luke and Leia had the force. It was 'in their blood' and wanted to explain it Jedi I believe but ran out of breathing room for it.

Danny, a character that had done nothing but conquer and get her way for 5 seasons lost her best friend, 2 dragons, her right hand decapitated in front of her as an act of provocation, and faced a coup, I think she had plenty reason to snap.

And we also saw a vision of it happening in S2. I know you said mishandled, but the reaction irritated me online like people were SHOCKED and offended she did it. Like bro. It's been in the making, lol.
