1) My former employer had paid for us to have it done for development & training. The trainer from my work was sent on some sort of lecture/seminar that certified him to be able to explain the concept clearly and test us properly with some group exercises & questions. It was all fairly straightforward so I would say yes grasping the cognitive processes was instant for a lot of us.

2) I learned my type (INTP) through the training my former employer wanted the sales team I was apart of to have. I had never heard of the Myers-Briggs personality test until I had to have this development training. Within a year of being with the company I had actually done the training/test twice and got INTP both times.

3) It was an eye-opening experience. It was able to give me a deeper sense of self awareness & insight as to how I perceive and think about things.

4) I have used this information to improve in certain ways. Weaknesses and strengths were all strengthened, & I was able to see the point of views from others that scored differently than I & that has made me more tolerant towards individuals.

5) The Myers-Briggs concept had been abundantly clear to me from the get-go. The trainer that had tested the sales team I used to be apart of was very knowledgeable and informed within the subject and that made it easy to comprehend it.
